Saundra, what a place to be at to be able to say, "Thank You Lord for allowing me to share in the fellowship of Your sufferings." I guess it's a part of knowing God better, which is what we are always praying for, we just never guess it'll be through so much pain! How cool that you live on a street where you can vent so much to God!!!
Gloria, that's awesome that you ordered all those pens!! Can't wait to hear about what you create.
Marie, I write a lot in my journal to God too. I'm so glad God has given us so many ways to be able to express ourselves to Him!

This is beautifully written, Gloria, and is something all of us have been through whether we realize it or not. It's a good reminder to me to be on the lookout for those old behavior patterns and learn to nip them in the bud quickly!!

in New Worship Project at KCC on Live.Awake
Just watching this video brings back a flood of emotions. We worked so hard on that song and the night we recorded it for TV we were under such intense spiritual attack that I thought we weren't going to make it.

Then Ben came into the studio and encouraged us with a lyric he felt like the Lord had given him for the song. "Jesus is like a Mounty. He always gets His man. And He'll zap you any way He can. Zap!"

He also suggested some ways to look at the camera to evoke emotion.

The song suddenly came alive to us. And that was when we knew that the song would change lives forever. We were totally up for it. We felt brave, and compelled by the call of God to minister this song of encouragement.

Ah, what a sweet time of worship it was that night. We have a great team.

These are all awesome inventions! I love everyone's ideas. Gloria, amen to the underwire bra predicament. Marie, your car invention is a great idea. And Susan, a chip implant that is a universal translator would be wonderful... I've seen that on Star Trek too!

Man, all I have to say is when a captive is set free... LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!!! The devil has no idea who he's messin' with when God brings His children out of darkness - we are a force to be reckoned with. Rebecca, you are throwing the devil some kind of fierce right hook, girl!

You gals are hilarious! I just have to tell you how neat I think it is that you have been venturing into something you are not entirely comfortable with. I think it is so brave of you, and the next time I have to go do something I've never done before and know nothing about, I will think of you and how you have embraced this opportunity, and it'll encourage me.

OH MY GOSH, I can't wait until part two! Vikki, I never knew your story and now I'm glad I do. Thanks for
writing this to us. You have TOTALLY got me interested in going to read Jude again.
And, can I just add that I could definitely picture you with your hands on your hips, looking at that sweet old woman, and saying,
"I am too saved." I can just see the look on your face even now. Ha!!!

in New Music To Check Out! on Vicky Beeching
I just bought a few songs on iTunes from an album called "Bethany Presents Deluge(Live)", and I LOVE them. Deluge is the youth worship team at Bethany Church in Louisiana, so it's worship music. Really well-produced, the lead worshipper's voice is awesome, and their sound is anointed. Definitely would recommend it!

Oh my gosh, I had no idea that this was the kind of family I married into.
Just kidding; I grew up singing that I was the circumcision too!
What a hilarious story, Ben! I can so see your dad doing a tambourine solo. Did the tambourine have all kinds of ribbons streaming down from it, with something like "Jehovah Jireh" written on the drumhead part? I think I remember that being "in" back then.

in Come, Worship at the Feet of Santa on Live.Awake
I always find it interesting when I read in the Bible all the different times God's people were taken captive, that the common denominator was idolatry. God stressed over and over that if they worshiped false gods He would allow them to be taken captive. He was always faithful to keep that promise(still is)! His people would turn from Him, worship false gods, and then be taken captive by surrounding nations. Today we turn from Him, worship ourselves, and we get ensnared in our own web of misery.
I think idolatry is really hard to get free from because we naturally love to put ourselves first! God has told us in His Word that He will not share His glory with another, and I know that He means it, so I've been asking Him to help me be passionate about His glory. Just absolutely on fire, sold out, insanely zealous for His name and renown. It's the only way I can figure to be free from idolatry - to ask Him to do that kind of a deep work in me.
