I seriously believe we have talents that could have delivered similar results in the ads space, but I think the most limiting and discouraging factor would be the environment these superb talents are contained. You just can't propose anything too out of this world, either your boss (who graducated from any disciplines but creativity related) will ask you if you are still interested in the job or you are given 10 minutes to plan the ads campaign and spend the next 10 days regretting on the concept while executing it.

Sigh...

Re: Finally StreamyX-ed! » Meshio.com- a Malaysia Personal Finance Blog

If you are a PC Gamer and have not heard of DOTA, time to get your butt of the house and visit your local cyber cafes.

Or simply just visit this link:

http://www.dota-allstars.com/

Re: Insignificant » Meshio.com- a Malaysia Personal Finance Blog

Hehe...i am not so sure how to lead you there, but basically it's in a small town named Pangsun and on the way to Ulu Langat.

It's about 30 km from Kuala Lumpur.

So far, it's one of the more natural getaways other than FRIM.

Re: New Layout Skin! » Meshio.com- a Malaysia Personal Finance Blog

whoops..you got me there! Indeed, if we take out time from the equation, then the entire project's purpose would have lost its purpose, which is why I think many R&D; projects which either has got endless supply of cash (money), no fixed deliverable date (time) and improper selection of talents (quality) usually results in failures.

To add to my Creative vs Practical discussion, the best results does not mean that you must be at a certain point of the scale or achieve an equilibrium of Creativity and Practicality.

The best results will depend on how flexibility one is in adjusting the scale to meet the requirements of the projects or problems at hand.

Re: The Dreaded Meetings » Meshio.com- a Malaysia Personal Finance Blog

ala...miss key, artikel nih aku dah tulis once upon a time le...

Okie, you too, this is the last time you will be saying "Happy Weekend" to me in the opis. :-P

Re: Meatless Starter Kit » Meshio.com- a Malaysia Personal Finance Blog

Killar,

Indeed, every dreams worth pursuing is worth sacrifcing for. However, every obstacles cannot be overcome in a single day.

There are a few things you can try for now:-

1) Identify veggie buddies around your area. These people are very likely the same people who might have been through what you are going through.

2) Start small by helping out in the kitchen especially whilst preparing meatless dishes.

3) Take-away meatless food to add to the dishes during lunches/dinners.

4) Bring them out to a rather fancy meatless restaurant once in a while.

5) Stay away from oysterman's advice on vegetable cruelty.

Re: How to Get Any Projects Up and Running? » Meshio.com- a Malaysia Personal Finance Blog

Indeed, I like Mark Forster's analogy on how a project is similar to a plant; you have to water it daily, treat it like a child and nurture the entire process from childhood to adulthood, where it will finally be independent on its own.

Re: My Last Post from Inspiron 8500

No worries miss key, I shall visit you pretty soon. E.g. If I don't need 3G connectivity, screw 3G devices.

Make sure that I have done various comparisons with other models with similar functionalities and most importantly the price variations.

In short, make sure I do my homework and eat my veggies.

2) Secondly, check with my Ministry of Finance. Check how much cash exactly I am willing to part away to exchange with the convenience I will be getting with my new gadget purchase. Once I am happy with the amount that I feel is just right, I will repeat Step (1) again and this time filtering out those gadgets that is above my budget.

In short, always shop with the budget in mind, or you will end up losing on the opportunity cost that you could have had.

Re: New Gadget Procurement Tips

He he, I hope those tips will come in handy for you.
