I loved the analogy and the passion of the post. I think you nailed it when you said, "figure out the goal and then set the goal on fire."

Have been a listener to the podcast for a long time and always enjoy it. I was extremely excited about SOF blogging. I curious though if you would consider offer you RSS feed to publish the full blog post via just the first sentence?

Thanks for all your efforts!

in The Matrix Lives Your Life on Chris Brogan
It comes down to "making choices" and "taking action." The question I've asked myself after reading this post is, Am I putting action towards my choices or am I in the never ending rat race of always taking action to someone else's choices?

The challenge isn't whether we won't to act. The challenge is whether we want to make a choice. Especially if it goes against the grain.

Thanks CB for thoughts and insight!

in Five Personal Branding Tips on Chris Brogan
Chris, I like the tip - "Tighten up you message." Like others who have commented I needed to be reminded of that.

Personal branding has to be about adding value to others not just me, me, me. If adding value to others is important hopefully trust and transparency will be communicated with it.

Great Stuff!

in Connect With Your Audience on Chris Brogan
As Jay commented earlier public speaking can be very terrifying to those who seldom give presentations. However, to those that speak on a regular basis there must be a change from product pitching and connecting with me.

Connecting for me is being available before and after your presentation. The presenter also has to come into my world and this can be achieved with genuine interest in me more than just his product. The bottom line is if there's genuine interest in my world if the product is applicable then I may BUY into your world.

In other words, authentic, engaging, honest, concern, interest, me has to speak louder than pitch, sale, close, client.

Just a few thoughts on the fly!

Chris, I love this! I would rather connect with the "PERSON" any day. I tired of trying to connect to the business.
