Nice of you to post links about koala-related charities and such.
Ever thought about any of the other species affected by the fires? Or, perhaps, the humans? Maybe they could use some shout-outs as well.

You can't help everybody and every cause every second of the day. And this isn't MammalBlog, we're not going to spend the entire day listing species in danger :-) This is a particularly sad and touching story, one that may move people to act more than other stories, so we're writing about it. You're free to give money to any human charity you wish, any day, even without my prodding :-)
there was another 21 koalas, 14 ring tailed possums and a hole lot more
