I was actually laid off from my job today, but it was a shitty job anyways - it was doing development work in the retail field and apparently the company just wasn't getting customers anymore.

I've been busting my ass staying up til 3 and 4 in the morning freelancing anyways so maybe it's a sign, I can take this negative and make it into a positive.

Now it's time to figure out exactly what I want to do.

but you are correct it is more geared toward people who already have established relationships whereas myspace is more geared toward meeting people. in fact if you check "i don't know this person" it says "why are you even adding this person?"
