in Video: Obama speech is YouTube gold on Mathew's comments
It is an amazing piece of work.

If the NY Times is to be believed, then the moves by schools, churches, and anti-racism groups to use this speech as a foundation for dialogue on race, could give it serious legs.

BTW, John Stewart's take that "at 11:00 am in Philadelphia an American politican spoke to Americans about race like they were adults" pretty much sums it up.

Cheers,

Hey Mike,

As a fellow sports-geek I've been a huge fan of http://whatifsports.com.

They also come at it from a simulaton point of view, and have done similar exercises in the past.

Cheers.

Re CTV - I meant I like what they are doing with the "CTV Broadband Network"

in TV is dead — long live TV on Mathew's comments
Good points, Matthew. But even appointment television is changing. I missed the first half-dozen episodes of Heroes, so I flipped over to Bleenks and got caught up (albeit with Korean subtitles).

I'm an extreme case, as most humans would just use their PVR.

In the short-term this was probably very good for those involved with Heroes because now I'm hooked and I still like the high-quality of a TV broadcast.

In the long-term, though, my behaviour should be very disturbing for those in the TV business.

Parenthetically, I really like what CTV is doing with their replaying of shows. I watched an old Corner Gas (Blog River), and just today recommended to a friend that he get up to speed with Studio 60.

Great post.
