Don't you think it's interesting that even in your "unplugging" activities that you mentioned, two of three were on your new electronic device? Even though you changed locations and interacted more with humans, you were still looking at a screen. And though you talk about the WALL-E moment where the humans realize what's around them and actually interact with their environment, you cite as a benefit of the Kindle that it seems to disappear from your hand and let you read without distraction. Does that mean that the actual physical device doesn't matter?

I'm not arguing with your point - I think it's a great one. I am frequently astonished by the amount of time I spend staring at a computer screen. But, if the benefit comes in interaction with real objects and real people then play a game, look at a photo album, use things where the actual object, environment, and company really matter.

Based on the map you can see as he zooms in and the buildings, I think it's Berlin. There is a building that looks a lot like the Reichstag towards the end.

Plymouth, clearly. That was a MUCH better hint.

Ok, I admit that I had to look up the official names of the college stadiums (seriously, you should only know those if you support the school) but I knew all the significances.

The first is Michigan Stadium...where Tom Brady spent two years waiting for his turn to play and then two years going largely unnoticed before he morphed into the football god he is today. I'm not even a Patriots fan.

The second is Vaught-Hemingway Stadium....the Old Miss stadium, clearly. Eli Manning's alma mater (and also his dad Archie's!)

The third, then, is clearly the University of Phoenix Stadium where the Eli Manning and the Giants pulled the all time upset last night and ended the Tom Brady and the Patriots' run at the first ever 19-0 season. Phew. I heard from the crazy French announcers last night, who thought it was the craziest thing ever, that it's air-conditioned. I mean, it is in Phoenix.

Something I think you guys may be overlooking is that this product is designed for people just like you - people who are very technology oriented. I think you are maybe assuming that the benefits you see of more information at your fingertips, being more connected to news and technology, would not be benefits for everyone. People without your same interests and tastes might not have the need for all the gadgetry. I realize I'm in the minority here, and that maybe (as you say, Jarred), this point of view won't survive, but I think there are still people who want to disconnect from their computers and live in the physical world instead of the digital world every once in a while. While those people still exist, books will survive :)
