in John Kerry is an idiot: claims death of newspapers is a threat to democracy on The Inquisitr
I don't consider the loss of news and commentary and the necessity for differing opinions to be stupid. The last time I checked we lived in a democracy and thrived on current news, opinion and debate.
Seems to me the person who wrote this is an idiot for still living in the past (2004) and actually posting a picture that adds nothing at all to the discussion. I would think a good athelete like the Senator would miss a ball now and again. So what was your point?

in Kerry vs. Clinton on The Washington Independent
Collin's piece was more than over the top- it was over -kill. I would like to know why she found it necessary to write such words about Senator Kerry in order to bring attention to Clinton's merrits for the position? How honest you are in assessing how the media has long treated Mr. Kerry unfairly. Why? I can't figure out unless, they don't like him because he is rich, articulate, intelligent and a true patriot. In other words- he just isn't fun. And, I also can't figure out the facination with Senator Clinton whose charms escape me. Sure she is smart, but she doesn't generate a whole lot of warmth as far as I am concerned. And, I will also add that I think it is extremely unfair that she get a free pass on the fact that she is who she is because her husband was President. I often wondered why if she was such a independent woman, why she doesn't use her maiden name- Rohdam?
As for qualifications and who is deserving of this position, I have to side with Senator Kerry. He is a true war hero and has been involved in foreign policy for over 20 years. And, he is well respected overseas- not for who he is married to, but for what he has been able to accomplish through the years and the knowlege he has aquired the hard way- by hard work and learning. In my book you can't even compare the two- Clinton and Kerry. He is by far the more qualified for this position and he is the one who could do great things with it. That is why I think Ms. Collin's had to try so hard to degrade and down play Kerry's merrits, so that Hillary could at least look almost deserving and qualified.

in Kerry at Foggy Bottom? on The Washington Independent
it took me more than a year to overcome my saddness when Senator Kerry did not become President. I had read and followed this wonderful patriot since 2003 and all I kept on saying to people is this man just has to become president. Well, that didn't happen and Kerry swallowed his pride and went back to work for the people pooring his heart and soul into it. He is passionte about many issues, but foreign policy and global issues are issues he comes back to and can talk of with easy. He knows his stuff in other words. I would not reccomend the faint of heart taking Kerry on on these issues.
I have no doubt that he would make an excellent Secretary of State at a time when we need to see a new vision and much needed changed. the foreign policy ideas that Pres. Obama talked of during the campaign are so similar to Kerry's 2004-2008 ideas that I did a double. The two of them would work well together and Senator Kerry would be a fine extension of the Obama administration.
I hope he names Mr. Kerry. I will be very disapointed for our country if he doesn't.

in O'Reilly challenges Kerry to debates for Democratic nomination on The Eagle-Tribune
I have been an admirer of Senator Kerry since 2003 when I first heard him speak and thought he would make a wonderful President. I make it a point to keep up with news of Senator Kerry's Senate and Massachusetts activities, bills and other business. I can tell you that Senator Kerry works extremely hard for his constituents and for all of us. I suggest those who claim that he has not done anything for the people of Massachusetts go to his web page or even just google and general inquiry using his name and your state. This will prove that you do not know what you are talking about. and you would be foolish to waste your vote on a lesser candidate. The state of Mass. should be proud to have a senator like John Kerry. He is deserving of the highest praise and support. He serves you and this country proudly. There aren't many true patriots any more, but when I think of that word and its meaning,Senator Kerry comes to mind and fits that description perfectively.
Mr. O'Reilly, while he may mean well and want what is best for Mass. is not ready for the important job of being a US Senator. I would suggest that he start out smaller, like running for local office, before trying to attain such a lofty and high position that he just isn't qualified for. Senator Kerry has worked hard and dedicated himself serving the people of Mass and this country for over 20 years. He is a man of grit and integrity. He deserves everyones continued support.
