I never really wanted Clinton on the ticket, but after reading about what's been going on between Obama and her fundraisers, I definitely don't want her on the ticker. If she wants it, then damnit she needs to work a hell of a lot harder than she is now.


Obama should do to Clinton like McCain is doing Romney. Show him that she wants it.

I just read an article or two about the fundraiser last night between Clinton & Obama.


I gotta tell ya, these Clinton donors are pissing me off. It's been reported that one of them actually asked Obama point blank if Hilary was going to be his vp, and even Hilary Clinton looked uncomfortable and she actually motioned for Obama to just move on.



Are these people adults? Some of these people need to grow up. Either support the man or not! It was disrespectful, it seems to me they want the man to beg for their support.



That's why I won't be running for office or anything like that. I'm a pretty cool person, but even I would have to tell those people to "put their money where the sun don't shine"!

I've never had any opinions of Nader. Didn't blame him for 2000/2004, didn't care one way or the other. But as AA raised in the "ghetto" and who still has family who live in the "ghetto" streets of New Orleans, let me tell you I'm insulted. There is no such thing as "speaking white", it's called speaking proper grammer. I've never been one to speak much slang in "polite" company. Yes if/when I'm with "my peeps" I may revert to an occasional slang term.


Nader is an idiot.

I TIVO'ed the show and watched it. I think Michelle did really well. Definitely better than Cindy McCain.


As for Hasselbeck, I'm no fan anyway. If I wanted to watch a pseudo "Sean Hannity" impersonation with my morning coffee, I'd watch Fox & Friends. I just find Hasselbeck to be really disingenous. I was no big fan of Rosie O'Donnell either, but I totally got her point when she went after Hasselbeck for saying one thing on-air to prove her "conservative" street cred with the Fox News crowd, but off-air being totally the opposite.



Anyway, Hasselbeck is suppose to be on Sean Hannity tonight. Let's see what she says about Michelle Obama then.



To paraphrase one of the "Kings of Comedy" Cedric the Entertainer, I don't hope she says something nice, I wish she would say some crazy s...t on Hannity about Michelle afte laughing her up on "The View"

..."national stage". It seems to me that you feel like Obama personally called "you" out. As you said, this is not your situation, but I can tell you that I know a lot of AA in that situation, not just in my family, but in the community where I grew up.


Besides, as I understand it, Obama has been saying these things all along, it's just with this campaign that so much media attention is on Obama. Does that make what is said any less pertinant to many people's situation. An newsflash, AA don't have a monopoly on unwed mothers, or dead beat dads. Would it have been better for you if he had made this same speech in a predominantly white church. It still would have gotten national media coverage, but would you still feel like he was putting black folks business out there, or that he was talking about white people?

Teen pregnancy, gang/drug violence was bad. I am the result of an unwed teen mother. My cousins had her first child at 13. Teen pregancy got so prevelant that the local school decided to put a day care on the premises. And tht was just over 19 years ago.


So yeah, my pastor would have sermons with the same message as this one.

So if it wasn't Barack saying this, but your church pastor, what would be the issue then, because I'll tell you, this speech other than being seen on a national stage, is exactly the type of sermons that I grew up hearing from my pastor. I grew up in one of the nastiest projects in New Orleans.

I would hope that Clinton supporters like Sheila Jackson Lee, and Stephanie Tubbs Jones will defend Michelle Obama against these attacks as well as they have defended Hilary against Obama's "supposed attacks"
