in This Odd Year: A Third Through on Kim Werker Blog
I lovelovelove the Doc on Deadwood - such an awesome character. and WoW is so interesting to me - I have friends who play, but I'm a little scared that I'd become obsessed if I started, so I've stayed away so far! It sounds like you're in a really open place right now where you can explore and do lots of different things - it sounds so nice, if a little scary. ;)

Dang, woman! Congrats on both fronts. It sounds like you've thought about this stuff A LOT and I bet it feels great to announce it to the world! I'm sure whatever you do next will be as inspiring and creative as what you've done thus far. :)

I bet you were the awesomest camp counselor EVAR. and I might need to check out the Teach Yourself Visually book - I've been really wanting to learn crochet for real.

ooh, the book sounds disturbing - I don't think I could read it. also. I cannot wait to hear the Joss interview! I use Audacity for sound stuff at work pretty often - it's so easy to work with.

I don't know if you've seen the Blog of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks (http://quotation-marks.blogspot.com/), but it's a treasure trove of ridiculous quotation mark use. my big pet peeve? misused apostrophes.

in 27th October Weekly Roundup on Kim Werker Blog
ooh! so many good links. I'm loving the Genius playlist too - it's just a nice way to shake up the order I play my music in - otherwise I would just play the same CDs in the same order over and over and over.

That Joss post was awesome. I can't wait for Dollhouse either!

in Talk to Me (Us All) About Palin: Open Thread on Kim Werker Blog
let me preface this by saying that I do. not. support. Sarah. Palin. ahem.

but. I think some conservative voters like her stance on abortion. They like that she's a born-again Christian, and will bring those kinds of "values" to the White House. Some look at her record in Alaska and call her a reformer, so they think that she will bring change (and she's not "establishment" since she hasn't been on the national political scene.) She's "just like you and me" - folksy, down-home, gun-toting. etc.

If you lurk in the McCain/Palin support groups on Ravelry, you will hear more. But be warned - the political groups on Rav are all very, very heated right now.

in Twilight Saga: It Won’t Ruin Girls’ Lives, But I Sure Take Issue With It on Kim Werker Blog
I just finished Breaking Dawn last night. There was one passage especially that bothered me re: needing to be married before sex, where Bella was having one of her anxious thought rambles, and she thinks, o, how do people do this without the fabulous commitment that I clearly have from Edward? it just seemed so heavy handed!

I sincerely hope justice happens in this case - what a sad case of our system failing someone.
