I've been using Mambo for my website. It's a nice program. It's got its challenges, though. The major advantage to Joomla/Mambo is that there are hundreds of free components/mambots/templates that you can use to easily get the effect that you want. I highly recommend it.

I know that I already submitted my movie, however, I just have to let you know about this one: Sinbad of the Seven Seas with Lou Ferrigno. It was a tough call between that movie, Plan 9, and the Batman movie with Adam West. (Gotta love how he always had the right thing for the most bizarre situations: "Robin! Quick! Hand me the shark-repellant!")

The reason why I chose not to submit Sinbad of the Seven Seas was because I would have felt responsible for your comatose state after watching the first ten minutes of the show. Let me just say this: One of the character's name is "Poochie the Dwarf." Yeah. Ummm.. I am embarassed to admit it, but, er, well, I watched it twice. Once by myself and a second time with a friend just to see the look on his face when he watched my "favorite" movie with me.

Seriously, if you love watching those old B movies, this is a must see. And if you do end up watching it, my favorite line in the whole movie is: "Gosh, you're beautiful." Yeah, you gotta watch it to see what I mean.

I had one similar to this when I was a kid. In fact, it's in my closet right now. I dissasembled it to get the breadboard and various other parts out to build a new control panel for my spa.

Some of the best moments in my nerdy life were spent working on those DIY projects.

I'm going to vote for Plan 9 from Outer Space. I watched it twice. It was the worst movie ever filmed, at yet I couldn't take my eyes away from the screen. I especially loved the special effects: A hubcap on a string for a UFO says it all.

Oh, and how about the fact that they used archived footage of Bela Lugosi because Ed Wood wanted him in the film despite the fact that he was dead. The rest of the time he was played by Tom Mason with a cape over his face.

Then there's the shots inside the UFO where it's nothing more than a table in the middle of a room surrounded by curtains. Why would there be curtains in a UFO?

And I just loved the whole explanation using a gas-can as a sun and a ball as the Earth: "Take a can of your gasoline. Say this can of gasoline is the sun. Now spread a thin line of it to a ball representing the Earth. Now the gasoline represents the sunlight, the sun particles. Here we saturate the ball with the gasoline- the sunlight- then we put a flame to the ball. The flame will speedily travel around the Earth, back along the line of gasoline to the can- or the sun itself. It will explode this source, and spread to every place that gasoline- our sunlight- touches. Explode the sunlight here, gentlemen, you explode the universe. Explode the sunlight here and a chain reaction will occur direct to the sun itself and to all the planets that sunlight touches. To every planet in the universe. This is why you must be stopped. This is why any means must be used to stop you. In a friendly manner or, as it seems, you want it."

But does the Pac-Man say "wocca wocca wocca"? 'Cause if he does, I'm so buying one!

And exactly how does one choke on an eight inch high plush-toy?

So, I get the point of being able to upgrade the internal components, however, what's the point of upgrading the LCD?? It's not like you could go up a size. I mean, sure, you could replace it if it went bad, but how often does that happen? Unless of course you drop it, in which case you more then likely would have to replace the whole laptop.

It's a seriously killer laptop, though. Even comes with a TV tuner. Wow. I want one!
