in Why blogging comments suck on Scobleizer
Saying that some comments should be promoted because they have more value than the rest has interesting and controversial consequences: the same could be said about blog posts, tweets, youtube videos, friendfeed links shared etc. Because, in essence, a comment is just another piece of content.
Where does this all lead? To the unsolvable problem "who decides, what to promote, when and under what authority?". I prefer the imperfect solution of crowds making the decision to the solution of any decisions taken by individuals, all too subjectively .

in Why is WordPress moving away from the web? on Fun with WordPress
I think that the 'move away from the web' is kinda misleading 'cause it means that we were already in the web and we now changed and move away, which, clearly, is not the case.
The hype (and vision) so far was pointing a lot towards the all-web experience but reality is different.
As far as the Wordpress decision is concerned, the recent trend of Adobe Air clients for microblogging services might, IMHO, be the inspiration and the reason behind this decision.

in The Problem With Leaving Twitter on SheGeeks
I agree it is all about the community, but isn't true that your true followers will follow wherever you go? I made an experiment myself by opening a plurk account and within 1 day one third of my followers where there too.

Maybe, but my followers are also though-leaders and experts (no offense), so in a sense, I may be following them more than they are following me. It's not the same at all though to get them to switch platforms if it's not something they understand or even want to do, no matter how much they want to stalk you.
