in Hillary Clinton admits she's not conceding in case Obama is assassinated | LizaSabater.com on Liza Sabater
It humiliates me to be a native of Kentucky when videos like these are put on display. *geeze* We aren't all like that here in the state. Honest!
I'm not a strong supporter of any of our "top three" candidates this time. It's the first time in my many years of voting that I've seriously wondered what difference the election even makes, since there is not one valid contender I'd like to see in office. (Personally I preferred Paul, but his bid is basically over.)
Obama's policies are too liberal and will wreak havoc with what few personal rights we have left in this country -- those that Bush hasn't already stolen. And Hillary. Plueeze! *rolls eyes* -- hasn't she already had her 8 years in office? She wants to require health care for everyone? Basically garnish wages to pay for it? What does that do to the small business owner and entrepreneur? It will bury them. And I don't want a village to raise my children, I'd prefer to retain the right to do that myself. (And even if I did want help raising my kids, Hillary isn't the helper I'd choose.)
And McCain? I appreciate that he's suffered for this country. I do. But that doesn't mean I want a prisoner of war with a finger on the big red button.
So there it is in a nutshell. I'm extremely disappointed in the two main parties, I don't see a valid option from the Libertarian front and the way things are set up, I don't see how an independent can "break into" the political machine.
I guess I'm taking this holiday Monday to sit around and be disgusted and feel politically impotent -- like most of the "young adults" in my children's generation. How can I fuss at them for apathy when I have a serious dose of it myself?

in Microsoft Surface Will Positively Impact Real World Real Estate on Sellsius
I wrote an article on how Microsoft Surface might impact real estate last week by telling a story of how a (fictional) single real estate agent (or Realtor) might use this technology to help a couple sell their old home and find a new one.
Personally, I'm not a Microsoft fan -- but I'm certainly a fan of technology in general and this cutting edge, multi-touch screen, multi-media embodiment of where (and how) technology is advancing in particular.
I work with real estate agents, so it's only natural that I look at every piece of cool new software that appeals to my geeky side and ask the question, "Yes, but how can this help real estate agents and brokers improve the quality of their life, their business and their bottom line?"
This particular technology is probably going to be huge for this industry, IMHO. And it's scheduled to hit the corporate markets before the end of this year!

in German shopkeepers save me hundreds of dollars on Scobleizer
I'm jealous, the Black Forest is one of those "wanna see it before I die" places. Would love to see some photos!
