Both T-Mobile & HTC told me that the review units of the G1 have not been seeded yet - although I was told by other sites that are on the review list that the G1 would have been sent this week.

I thought HTC recently revised their Q4 projection to sell 1,000,000 G1s.

I believe they have already blew away selling 400,000 G1s a while ago.

This could be the same chubby kid that provided the Lost video leak at Comic Con - hence the heavy breathing.

I am suspicious, but it could be a veiled response from HTC to offset the delay rumors, but the wow factor is lacking due to its Sidekick similarities.

This information correlates to what I have from both people inside Google and HTC.

The new SDK should be out before the end of August and announced in parallel with the ADC round 2 winners.

HTC told me this week "we don’t anticipate having units for quite some time" as GoogleAndBlog is on the short list to receive the Dream phone early on for reviews.

I like having the keyboard and dont mind the looks of the G1 - buttons do seem weird on this "G2" phone..

Assumptions are it will have a longer battery life and full utilization of the Cupcake features.

Those are the same reports I am hearing as T-Mobile expands its 3G service in October they will also release the first gPhone which is speculated to be the HTC Dream.

The G1 has excellent memory management in my opinion but needs to have MUCH more internal actual memory since you can not run applications off the SD card.

Battery life is also the biggest grip I have.

The point is to pull in the developers since its open source and depends on them to evolve the platform as well the device to become a truly consumer (as well business) phone that trumps the walled garden of the iPhone.

Your partner Steve emailed me about this yesterday about the 1GB cap as T-Mobile quickly rectified it.

My sense as here in San Diego as we just got 3G last week is that the system will get overloaded so it was a smart preemptive move by T-Mobile to set a cap, but the wording revisement was a better PR move to accomplish the same thing in an ambigious way.

So is your approach to simply consult clients on SMO strategy or to take the helm itself?

My opinion is that when an outside agency starts actually taking over the social media activity itself then it generally deflates the purpose and credibility of that campaign as well could cause misrepresentation & liability concerns.

I thought Rebecca was making a subtle hint that SES was missing Danny Sullivan's stewardship :)

IMHO SMX Advanced has the most meat as far as takeaways of all the major Internet Marketing conferences - Danny is acutely tuned to the pulse of the market which was amplified when he was tapped by NPR to voice his thoughts on the Yahoo Microsoft deal - in particular the 2008 SMX Advanced with its revealing quasi black hat GIVE IT UP sessions albeit to Danny's chagrin.

PubCon in Vegas is like the Woodstock of Internet Marketing conferences where its truly about the networking & meeting of the minds (generally over drinks) in a party atmosphere - Brett does an amazing job organizing it on a massive scale & it seems everyone involved has been counting the days to its start.

The other phones have GPS but this will have true voice turn by turn directions.

Also Garmin's entry into the Open Handset Alliance allowed it to port over Android at least part in parcel for this phone.

I would say this is a venture best served if you already have a team of admins/moderators dedicated to monitoring else it would be a major time drain for you.

I agree with DD that the site would get spammed and attempts at gaming it unless it is proven to show constant oversight & moderation.

With that being said I like the MoneySmack domain.
