Admittedly, I am tilted toward MBL at the moment, but this article serves to remind me that BC has some attributes to it worth exploring. Thank you for the mention too.

Yes, in April 2007 I made something like $1304 from PayPerPost. At that time I was managing eight blogs and posting ads regularly to seven of them. My main blog I kept relatively ad free, choosing only to go with the occasional high paying ad once in awhile.

Since that time I sold off two blogs and closed down four other blogs so I am left with only two blogs, both occupying the same URL. PPP has changed a lot since that time in that the quality of ads seems to have dropped. So, I doubt that I'll ever make more than $100 in any given month unless someone agrees to pay the $99 charge I have on my The Article Writer blog.

On the other hand, I pulled in $43 last month from Text Link Ads. Not bad, eh?

Re: Google Adsense Arbitrage- Finally The Step In the Right Direction

I am so glad that this isn't only a rumor, but that Google has followed through. I typically get more than half of my daily traffic from SU, sometimes a lot more. Some of my visitors stop long enough to leave a comment on my blog, read an article, or contact me for more information.

Because SU is so valuable, I purposely stumble as many pages as possible for each of my mutual friends. Together, I am sure we do a great job of helping each other out.

Re: How To Write Eye-Popping Headlines While Exhausted

Man! So little sleep! This too shall pass or have another baby to double your pleasure.

When I am sleep deprived, coffee is my best friend. As far as Search Wikia goes, he'll have to do a lot to make the site relevant -- the search engine shake out indicates that the strong are already on top and improving all of the time.

Re: Eyetracking Shows Web Audience Ignores Ads

This news isn't surprising. Long ago I quit clicking on ads and I recently removed AdSense from my flagship blog as the annoyance didn't justify the few bucks that I made.

Content is king and bloggers/web site owners need to find different ways to monetize their sites. Personally, I am tired of some of the more spammy looking site out there -- too many widgets, chicklets, and ads to to get through in order to read the content.

Re: BlogRush, You’re Kidding Me

BlogRush is overblown. I got suspicious of it when all of these Sphinn posts appeared giving it a positive spin -- I couldn't see how it could possibly receive such good press, being so new.

You have confirmed my suspicions!

Re: Top SEO Blogs by Link Popularity

Amazing numbers, indeed! Even if we cannot offer full scale support, stumbling and bookmarking nonprofit pages is a good start. Offering free links on select pages is another small, but important gesture.

Re: More on Business 2.0 Closure: Internal Memo; 18 Job Losses

I was wondering if Business 2.0 would be folded into Fortune and you have answered that question.
