in Redbox coming to a Walgreens near you on Inside Redbox
What is up with RedBox charging after you use a promo code "successfully"? I used them today and it said $0.00 on the screen but put my account in the negetive because I only had a couple dollars in there. I wasn't expecting them to charge me for the free ones!

in Redbox expanding to Oklahoma City and Seattle on Inside Redbox
Yes this has happened to my boyfriend and I several times! Just happened again today as a matter of fact. Our bank won't reverse charges. They claim you have to take it up with whoever is taking the money. So in other words we can debit somebodies account and not be held responsible for it? I don't understand.

in Redbox Update - Lost and Found on Inside Redbox
I'm so angry! We decided to give Redbox another chance after screwing us over. We rented movies Friday night and the charges went through fine. Then yesterday we rented two more but used promo codes and got charged for it!! What is the use of promo codes if they charge you anyway?

in Redbox Update - It’s almost here… on Inside Redbox
Just a heads up guys...I just spoke with Redbox on the phone. After a heated argument and much convincing I was able to get SOME of the charges reversed..Heres what happened: My boyfriend and I rented movies on Friday August 4th. We returned them a day late so we were prepared for the extra $3.22 charge right? What were weren't prepared for is what came next...One day his bank account balance was $116. The next day, however, it was $48 and some odd cents!! I said "You need to find out what happened to your money" We looked at his bank account online to find that the missing money was sent all to Redbox!! So I just got off the phone with them. They admitted that they took money that wasn't theres to take with some stupid excuse about when we returned the movies they weren't right and the tech had to return them manually. The screen has ALWAYS said "Successfully returned" so I don't know why that would come into play. Then they claimed we rented movies from a location that we have never rented from and said we kept the movies out for 4 days!! The lady was VERY rude and was literally arguing with me. Finally a supervisor came on the phone and agreed to return 4 of the charges so we are going to get $35 back. The lady also got nasty and said that she knew we had been using promo codes and told me exactly which ones were used/tried, the date, the time and everything. So don't think that they don't know what's going on. That's probably why new codes haven't been being released that often. I personally am sorry to say I won't be using Redbox again due to all of the problems. (This isn't the first time they have not credited us when the movies were returned or dreamt up charges that should have never been) So user beware. Also don't be afraid to call and dispute any bogus charges you have or questions. If I hadn't called I wouldn't have gotten at least some of my money back.

in Tuesday Update: Great News for Redbox Users on Inside Redbox
My boyfriend and I saw Mortuary, Derailed, School of life, and Brokeback Mountain recently. My recommendations are as follows:
Mortuary: Don't waste your time. It's a very poorly planned out movie. Great props and theme at first...Then it gets stupid. Ending is really lame and it left me mad I'm glad we didn't actually pay money to see it.
School of life: This movie is wonderful. I give it an A+ It's supposed to be a comedy but it's really more of a drama with a few funny parts in it. It left me and my boyfriend in tears.
Brokeback Mountain: Absolultely wonderful! Another A+ in my book. My boyfriend only got to see the end but seemed to like it. It's a tear jerker so keep a box of kleenex close by.
Derailed: It wasn't half bad. Starts out really slow and boring. I was surfing the net during that time while watching it lol The middle to the end is pretty good. Very good if you like action movies. I give it a C+

in Redbox DVD quality - Are your DVDs scratched up? on Inside Redbox
My boyfriend and I have gotten several scratched DVDs that were unplayable. Let me tell you I was and still am very mad! I thought about reporting it but I don't have any proof that we didn't do something. I mean I don't want to be accused of doing it even though I didn't. Yes we have gotten charged even though the movies were rented with promo codes. That makes us mad too. My boyfriend had over $130 in his bank account and now it's gone. So we are really mad. It better not be from Redbox charges or there will be some problems.
