Authenticity apart, I think its really great of Villa to sport a local charity on their chests.

Pretty good kit this time round. I roughly remeber Pompey wearing a gold/yellow-ish away kit once in the last couple of seasons. That was by far the worst ever

Oh. Thats really good. I can imagine Roque Santa Cruz looking even more 'sexy' in that outfit.

And also the sponsor logo is better than the Bet-24 that they sported last season.

What irks me the most is that 'good' players who have the calibre to play in the first 11 at most clubs, prefer to warm the benches at big clubs at pocket their humongous salaries. Its a big shame.

Take the case of SWP. He lost his England place because he didnt play for Chelseas that often. Yet he has not moved on. Surprising. And it , comes with a statement saying, " I'll bide my time." "I'll fight for my place".

Bollocks.

When both the tournaments have the tags UEFA, it clearly isn't that interesting. Also, most UEFA members are small nations who pride themselves on the UEFA Cup. Champions League is only for the big bullies and the big marketers. So Europa cup would give it an identity of its own.

Well, and what whas encouraging that the core of the team was all based in Spain.

And not just Real or Barca. You had players from Valencia, Villareal, Mallorca - all playing a major part in the Spanish success.
