The minority in the LEGISLATURE is different than the majority of the PEOPLE. The people of California voted no on all the phony spending cap propositions by an overwhelming majority because they are sick and tired of the amount of spending and taxes are state endures. We already pay the highest taxes in the nation.
The people have spoken. Government is too large, too bloated, and way too expensive to continue at the status quo. Get with it.

I agree LadyHale. I am not a hater either, but find that if I put something on here that has the smallest dislike about something (say the way Rob wears his socks)...then everyone wants to burn you at the stake. They say that they respect your opinion, but then stab in the back when you aren't looking. Interesting....to say the least...

You don't have to agree with an opinion but being nasty to someone about it isn't very cool. And it's kind of a double standard...you're not allowed to say anything negative about whoever the post is about (even if it's sometime tiny) but it's ok to be rude and nasty to the person that said it.

I agree! This isn't a "POSITIVE RESPONSES ONLY" website. If that's the case then the owner of this site better state that in large print at the top of this web page. I also have read tons and tons of bad comments about Catherine Hardwicke on this site as well.

You have to break out of it...you are playing different characters all the time and they don't all have the same mannerisms and expressions. That doesn't make any sense. Kate Hudson, Jennifer Aniston, etc. mostly stick to comedies - there is no different type of expression or mannerisms. You have that with dramatic roles. Kristen has done dramatic roles, but they are all the SAME! There is no range of emotion whatsoever. Why keep them in low tone - what are you hiding?!?! This is called acting people - so act! Hello!!! I've seen much younger actors "bring it" with their characters and expressions.

I do agree with you partly.. maybe I just didn't say my point very well. Maybe I should have said personality-wise.. her characters go through different things, obviously, according to the role.. but in general all of them (ie: Cake Eaters, Into the Wild, even Twilight) aren't overly happy, screaming, crying, laughing type roles. So, yeah, a lot of what she puts across crosses over into other movies because it has that same sort of tone. Though I do think she has some range.. it's just subtle. It just wasn't displayed well in Twilight at all. Now with New Moon, and especially Eclipse, she's a little more "outgoing" for lack of a better word with emotions.. crying, angry, etc. so we'll see how she handles that.
I don't particularly see anything wrong with keeping in a low tone.. she doesn't have to be over the top to be good. I'm not saying she was fantastic in Twilight, but she probably has a better grip on it now. I can appreciate all forms.. actors who go all out with the emotions are awesome, but I can appreciate subtle shifts in emotion. I think she did that particularly well in Cake Eaters.

You go girl!!!! Couldn't have said it better myself. I've done a few plays in local theaters and you have to have a range or emotion when you are playing different roles. That's why it's called acting! :-)))

Being stalked by papz and blinded by cameras has nothing to do with smoking. They've developed a filthy habit on their own - making the choice TO smoke. And you don't need to smoke to get into character.

Hey Michael...in my opinion you are much better looking than Rob...and a heck of a better actor. I've seen some great films you have done. Rob can never hold a candle to you. He has a lot to learn and he isn't that great of an actor. I'd rather hang out with an intelligent and brilliant actor such as yourself and learn something rather than some guy who's just getting by on his looks. If it weren't for Twilight, Rob wouldn't be going anywhere in the movie business. Everyone just wants him in his movie because they know it will bring a big box office draw. It has nothing to do with his acting abilities. If he came out with the worst movie ever made with lousy acting - all the young girls would be making his movie #1 and nominating him for the 'best actor' award at the Oscars. Pleeeaaaaseee!!!

While you are entitled to your opinion on looks, as well as acting chops. You should also be fair...Pattinson is very talented for his age, and his other movies were wonderfu. I think he was great in HP and wonderful in How to BE. He has excellent potential to be an even greater actor someday. Michael Sheen is certainly a wonderful actor in his own right, but he has been doing it alot longer than Pattinson. So, he obviously has an upper hand there.
As far as looks go, I think that both of them are very attractive. And unfortuantely, that is the way Hollywood is - Sex sells. Sad, but true. So, yes, you may think that Pattinson is only being cast because of his looks but that would not get him so many roles afterwards. Even hollywood knows that looks fade after a while and people need to rely on talent more than anything, and I while I think that Pattinson's looks will not go away, I like to think that by the time he is Michael's age, he is going to be a wonderful actor, gaining the respect of hollywood and people like you.....
Now, having said that - I hope that one day, when Pattinson does get nominated for an Oscar, I hope you choke on your tongue....
