So I called yesterday because I'm planning on hopping over to AT&T for the reduced price iPhone 3g ($99!) and the rep told me that the G2 will be ready for launch in 2 weeks.
I don't believe her, mostly because she made false statements while trying to keep me from jumping (like saying all 3G networks are the same - they aren't: t-mobile launched on a different band and with different tech - and much, much, much later than AT&T).
Someone explain to me why every other company hypes their phones and has solid launch dates available, while T-MO leaves it up to you guys. If tmonews.com is a seperate entity from T-Mobile, why do they tell me to come here for info on new phones?
When I asked the rep why t-mo seems more interested in casual users and seems focused on messaging phones, she told me that I was wrong. Um, why can I get a 3G blackberry on everyone BUT t-mobile? Why do I have to settle for the uglier, buggy, no 3g shuts down connectivity G1 if I want a 3G phone capable of email?
Crap.
I'm out of here.
After discussing it with the rep, I was told that if I cancel even a day before my contract is up, they'll sock me with a $200 fee. Then, she had the audacity to thank me for being 'part of the t-mobile family'. My family has never tried to get me to pay $200 to make me happy before!

As weird as this sounds, we already have a product in the US like this.
Frosty Paws is a frozen ice cream treat for dogs. At first, I thought it was silly. Then I bought some.
This stuff is like crack for my dog. He absolutely loves it. I recommend it to every dog owner I know.

Olga was shut down for no good reason.
People have been trading tab for decades so they could play music they love and learn to be better guitarists.
Stupid laws shut down OLGA.
Napster and the rest of RIAA's targets only further proves that the music business is all about shooting themselves in the foot.
My massive music collection was brought about by searching for new stuff on napster and other p2p and bit torrent sites. I'd find a track (or album) that I loved, download it, then go buy it to support THE ARTIST.
And the music I didn't pay for?
Well, I USED to spend thousands of dollars a year going to live shows.
Now I stay local and don't go to many big name concerts.
I also steal more music than I ever did.
RIAA needs to get real.
Before digital music, there was tapes.
My buddy would buy a new tape (album) and tell everyone how great it was.
We'd either borrow it an dub it or give them a blank to copy the tape for us.
It was great. When we really liked something, we'd buy the tape ourselves so we could have an original, complete with the artwork and liner notes.
RIAA couldn't stop people from doing that.
And they had no way to measure the dollars they were "losing" to dubbers.
Now that everything is digital, they CAN track it.
But they ignore the data that shows that people who 'steal' music, spend more on merchandise, go to more concerts, and buy more CD's.
It's nonsense.
Someone should organize a boycott on buying music for a few weeks until RIAA gets the message.

Clearly this data has been created by the military industrial complex with cooperation from Big Oil.
Global Warming is a fact, not a theory. I know because Al Gore tells me so.
He says there is no debate. He told me that polar bears are dying, ice caps are melting, we are all going to drown, and the only thing we can do to fix it is feed him jelly donuts, stop flying, discontinue use of refrigerators and air conditioning, exterminate farting cows, go vegan, stop driving, stop going to the grocery store, lose weight, and buy carbon credits so he can continue to fuel his private jets, SUV entourages, and heat and cool his enormous home. Oh, I almost forgot - he also wants me to live in a smaller house.
You shills are all bought and paid for by big oil and have been brainwashed by Bush and Cheney.
Without a scientific consensus, there is no scientific truth. The greenies have tested and re-tested their data. They don't want to show it to you because you would only lie about how the computer models are flawed, having been calibrated to produce the results they wanted. That's just not going to fly!
Listen, if smart people like Leonardo DiCaprio believe in global warming, who the hell are you to question it?
That's just unpatriotic!

we all know that Mars is heating because of mmgw (martian made global warming).
Martians run their heating and a/c all the time and drive gas guzzling SUV's everywhere, further feeding the interplanetary big oil companies. The worst part of it all is that the biggest oil producers in the galaxy are some of the worst terrorists in the universe. The Saturnians are at the center of the axis of evil. George Bush knows all about this and is part of the problem, not the solution, having supported Saturns regime change, installing an oppressive dictator who pretended to be interested in democracy.
We need to open a universal dialogue with the Saturnians, accept them as they are without judging their behaviors, and keep Bush from declaring war on Saturn, which is inevitable as he has been setting this up for years.
Bush lied, Saturnians died.

The funny thing is that Biden was condescending to the reporter, saying things like "Is this a joke?" and "I don't know who writes your questions for you."
If it were me doing that interview, I would have looked biden in his beady little eyes and said:
"This is not a joke, though clearly you wish it was. I wrote these questions and your response brings up a new one: Why do you appear to believe that as a woman and a reporter I am unable to write my own questions? My impression of the Obama Biden ticket was that you believed in equality and abhorred sexism. So tell me, Senator, can you explain your sexist remarks that you just made or will you continue to view women, and reporters, as mindless idiots incapable of original thought?"

The fact is that this is the first reporter that ISN'T on Fox news to ask anything even resembling a legitimate question. Biden and Obama hate real questions, which is why they only do interviews with sympathetic backers of their campaign and have run their entire platform by pretending to be about issues while saying little more than neat sounding, prepackaged talking points.

At some point, I hope, Americans are going to get sick of the democrats lying to their faces. Hopefully this will happen before the election.

If not, and Obama wins, we'll have a strong republican in the white house in 4 years and a republican run Congress too.

McCain is not out of this yet. Election night is going to be very interesting.

Sorry Liberals, but this one is a lie.
Sotomayor would NOT be the first hispanic Supreme Court Justice. Justice Benjamin Cardozo was, in fact, of Portuguese descent, making him the first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice. He served 70 years ago and was nominated for that position by a Republican President, Herbert Hoover.
Thus, this is NOT another fake 'historic first' by PresBO. In fact, there is nothing historic about this nomination. It is nothing more than a semi-liberal judge being nominated by a heavily liberal President to replace another semi-liberal judge. Big. Deal.
Is she an activist? No more than Souter. Will the Republican's fight the nomination? Probably not. They should, however, question her just as rigorously as the Democrats questioned Chief Justice Roberts. If they are smart, they will get her to expose herself in a less than positive light. If they can't do that, she'll be a justice.
She isn't that controversial and as a conservative, I don't really see any major danger in her becoming a justice.
This won't be a huge battle.
What IS upsetting is that the Democrats put up and ENORMOUS fight over a truly historic nomination - that of Justice Clarence Thomas, the first black justice on the court. They vehemently opposed his nomination and suffered little consequence - black voters quickly forgot that Thomas was dragged through the mud and continued to vote primarily Democratic.
The fact that so many liberals seek to ignore Cardozo's accomplishment is either evidence of brainless Obama worship or a complete lack of respect for the accomplishments of Hispanics. Ignoring Cardozo's Hispanic roots so you can pretend Obama is making history is disrespectful to every Hispanic.

Face it, this is another example of the Obama administration trying to pull a fast one. Claiming Sotomayor is the first hispanic nominee SOUNDS like a big deal. Remove the lie that she would be the first, and it becomes just another nomination.
My question is: Did she fail to pay her taxes? Seems to be a requirement in the Obama administration.
