in Unpleasantness Report on Wallyhood
Sara, I don't think you have any basis for suggesting the jokey guy you met and the one who confronted me and my wife are one and the same.
Even *if* he was unless you were in my place in this specific situation I don't think you can really suggest better courses of action. I am no expert here - in fact I have never had a run in with a homeless person before in my life.
I don't think Lisa (above) was saying this about my situation but this was not a case of 'creep[ing] out' our womenfolk. This was a guy screaming at me within 12" from my face who had been reaching inside his coat for something moments before. Hard to convey the exact situation in writing - which is kind of the point I'm making above.
The short guy mentioned above actually stood next to my wife while this guy was going off to protect her. After the fact he told me he had my back. He obviously felt some concern for our safety which I thought was pretty touching.
I did not intend this post to be a lightening rod for anti homeless sentiment, they have enough problems to be dealing with - I was just sharing an experience with the community. This experience didn't even ruin my otherwise very nice evening.
I also feel very safe living in Wallingford - if I didn't I would leave. This is probably the safest place I've lived in my adult life in the US or in Europe.

John, never asked you to 'trust' my opinion - what an odd idea. You may have missed the point that my comments weren't entirely serious. Next time I'll surround any attempts at humor in tags, it might help clear up some confusion. With this in mind I should also point out that Wallyhood *is not* going to start up a collection to buy the theater on Market St.

according to the wallingford e-news:
"The QFC people have met with Theresa Dean of Mi Piace and are negotiating to have her join our QFC team and continue to serve our neighbors in Wallingford through our Starbucks."

in Jonah Brown Sinks Southampton on Guido Fawkes Blog
This is somewhat off message but people should know about it. I am a long term South East Asia expat and my first assignment was in Malaysia. I registered with the British High Commission website and received their monthly updates. I was quite surprised the other day to receive an email from the FCO extolling the virtues of the London Summit starting 2 April. They had obtained my email address from the Malaysian BHC connection. The first part of their email was a puff for "The Road to the London Summit", G. Brown's puff for the "Grand Bargain". Surelythe FCO are completely out of order in using their email address databases in this way?

O/T PESTON
Peston pontificating on Toady in his usual wah-wah-wahing manner about the imminent FSA grilling by the select committee.
Then he's shown to be the utter government stooge he is when Humphreys mentioned the number of advance warnings of the impending bust - "including warnings from you, Robert". Peston's prepared speech collapses as he stumbles and stutters lamely: I saw a little perhaps but not so much, really.
Embarrassed as hell lest Brown Central told him he was off message, he sussed the next question might've been 'so you saw it, then why didn't the great economic colossus in No 10 see it?' Peston was so flummoxed he forget to add:
"It all started in America".
"Gordon's saving the World".
"Gordon's doing the right thing".
Tosspot.

When are you stupid fucking cunts in the UK going to wake up to the fact that a home is a place to live in. You will have to incur costs for maintenance and upkeep. If you are lucky you might make a small profit when you sell the place but do not count on it.

It's one aperture overlapping another one in a matted album. You can see examples in the short movie referred to in this post. Thanks for your interest.

in Titles in PJ Remix on Queensberry Connects
Good question. A Title aperture is just like any other. You can add apertures (for photos) and arrange them on the layout as you would on any page.

Good question. I assume you mean create mats for QBY albums. If so, the answer is yes. All QBY albums are completely customisable in this respect. As for other vendors, PJ enables free-design, but whether the function is turned on for a particular vendor is up to the vendor. BTW I suggest posting this type of question on the PJ forum: http://www.photojunction.com/forums/

No Plant = No Zepp. Call it what you want, but I'm not paying some ridiculous ticket price to see 1/2 of Led Zeppelin just because they call themselves Led Zeppelin.

"...recorded much more music than they could fit on one album." Seriously? There's 10 songs clocking in at about 46 minutes. Pretty sure CD's can handle a good 30 minutes more than that. Way to justify the double dip, EMI. And if Coldplay is really looking to get out of their contract, just put out a b-sides album and be done with it since that's essentially what this sounds like it will end up being anyway.

in Agbonlahor Can Wear Shearer’s Crown | EPL Talk on EPL Talk
england have the centre forward they need and his name is Peter Crouch. Sven was smart enough to understand this but Rafa and Capello with their erudite ways are blinded by this.
sven is just a football manager while the others like capello always have an agenda. witness sven's recent recall of blanco for mexico from the "depths" of mls and you'll understand he watches more football and understands it better than anyone around. that's why mexico is going to win alot under him and england are going to regret letting him go. so we cannot take pks? otherwise his record was unmatched since sir alf ramsey.

in Work Permit Rules Need to be Revisited on EPL Talk
Alves case not withstanding far too many accomplished internationals have been turned down for a permit while other less worthy cases have been accepted by the home office. The most poignant and appropriate statement of this entire article was the last line about common sense. Very rarely if ever does the home office apply it with regards to work permits for footballers.
