Let me see if I can answer the 1,000,000 dollar question.

If my memory serves me correctly that is a burned image. For the slow people. Someone held the shutter open a few seconds longer for the effect.

If you got to the site where the actual picture is you will notice the same thing with the 3 cars that are on the road. They were in motion when the picture was taken.

Now had I been a little under then maybe I would have played along.

Please allow the "Angry Black Man" to speak first. What do you mean MUD? The only MUD that existed in the lab was the mud you would bring in every morning. It was more of a task for me to keep the place clean. I owe you the cleaning bill for messing up my GATORS. As for my acting goes...don't hate me bacause I was nominated and I can dance.

But on the real it has been more of an honor for me to work with you because I have learned more from you in the short time I have been here. THE LAB will always be your home whnever you need it. Now Aaron what is a post without your friendly neighborhood "Angry Black Man's" comment. First I must admit that is just why we get along so well. I love the way you spark conversation (not stroking the ego so don't trip) with your honest view.

But from the black side of the globe I disagree about this holiday thing. We have taken more days off for so-called white owned holidays for the longest. If you listen to the radio I am sure you have heard a few commercials advertising MLK Day sales. What's up with that?

I believe this holiday was meant for all of us (regardless of color) to reflect on where we were ( not just as a race but also as people), where we are and where we want to go. It all falls back on the embedded anger on race issues to some degree. There are many holidays that actually do acknowledge some of the whites who have contributed to history's making but there are little to no holidays acknowledging blacks contribution to history.

Benjamin Banneker, Frederick Douglas, Matthew Henson (whom I happen to be a decendent of) just name a few do not have holidays for their contribution. Black History month is just that one month when there are probably many more days that in my eyes deserve holidays for.

Instead of just looking at today as just a day off try approaching it as a day to reflect and discover a way to contibute to grow amonst the races.

I know you well enough to say I see no harm in what you wrote and what you wrote is just your way of contributing. You have not offended me.

It is a shme that anyone who visited your site and read both MLK entries didn't really read what you wrote. Because if they did they would understand it was not just readship you were shooting for but to also start what could have been another one of those good chnaces to better understand the relationships of the races.

Like I wrote in the previous MLK entry I was not offended at all. As far as readership goes I have visited som of the same bloggers who write about way less intersting stuff that what you wrote.

And the sad part is they have the option to not say a word if they were that offended. Call it lack of understanding or wanting to understand.

No matter what "The Angry Black Man" has got your back and if they want to send the comments my way I will be more than happy to introduce them to the good ole' diatribe ;-)

I too am very fed up with all of this as well. But as much as I am fed this whole thing does make me stop and take a hard look at life and how we (the people) tend to take for granted that we have it.

I am curoius about the relationship between the husband and Terri's family because it seems extremely odd that they could not sit down and discuss what was best for Terri before all of this came to be.

Only GOD is the one that really knows what's best for his child not her husband, her family, or the judicial system.

They say she is not suffering but I don't believe that. I believe just because she can't form the words doesn't mean she isn't suffering.

It is a shame that all of this has come to pass but it really does make one think of how precious life is.

I am not even in draft status but if you check the record it shows I have served. I am not trying to sound angry but I think it is unfair either way.

In keeping with "The Angry Black Man" image I have so rightfully earned I will explain it in the simple.

The notice was typed by someone who was recieving pressure to hurry up and get it done and multi-tasking at the same time without concentrating on the task at hand (I know you are familiar with that Aaron).

The managment could have been getting heat from the higher ups and instead of taking a minute to make sure everything was in place the manager took out the fustration on the person instead of giving proper guidance in doing the task correctly (Sound familiar MIKE).

All in all you live in "THE HOOD" and are surrounded by a bunch of MF's who spend time fussing, cussing, threatening people, beating the girlfriends & wives, letting their children run the streets all times of the night and there are some neighbors who are afraid and they have complained.

You also have some nosey-assed neighbors who probably have overstepped their boundries with others business.

The management is saying "We are not taking this SH*T anymore". They are also saying the hanging out and chillin' in front of the building anymore and the parties in the apartments will no longer be tolerated. And most importantly if you are having sex please tell your partner not to scream too loud during orgasms because others are jealous it is not them making her scream.

It is funny that this discussion always comes up on Independence Day. From my perspective it is always the "Well to do" individual who is always tooting the horn for patriotism. And when I say "Well to do" I mean the person who really doesn't have to work because their bank accounts keep money in it, they drive the big SUV's & cars that make a financial statement, and live in homes that are extremely tucked away so they don't have to be exposed to the problems of city life.

And when someone like me excerises my right to speak my mind I am either told to basically shut-up or completely removed from the situation just for standing up for myself and maybe even someone else who is afraid to speak up.

I am an American but sure as hell don't get the warm fuzzies on Independence Day. To be it is holiday to spend time going from cookout to cookout eating, drinking, laughing and dancing with those whom you haven't seen in a while because like you they are busting their asses to keep the very small piece of the pie that AMERICA has said numerous times was theirs.

Dude I am far from the one to be trying to make any formal comments about religion. Like the two previous commentors we too have had conversations of religion and what role it plays in our personal lives.

This is the first I have heard of the Pat Robertson but as much I too DISAGREE with what he said it is nothing out of the norm in today world.

The president has made some real bad decisions and some even more jacked-up comments. Religion and the DEMISE of the moral fiber that comes with Christianity has been in the front lines for quite a while now.

Pat Robertson, Billy Graham, Jim Baker just to name a few have not only said some real bad comments and some of their actions have been questionable too. But if I am going to be the serious "Sean" that you know let me say this...

NEVER and I mean NEVER let anyone stop you from building a closer relationship with GOD. Church is a place where you learn to build that relationship. I myself like smaller churches because you don't become just another face they actually care and show an unconditional love that bigger churches don't. Continue to grow closer and let those who stake the claim answer for the sins when their time comes.

That is just my 1 1/2 cents.

You can say what you want. Just like I told you on the NEXTEL...My grandmother was and still is in the hospital in a life & death situation. That is the lady that reared me as a child. Yes it is very selfish of you to think I am supposed to put her aside for a drink. She was my mother when my mother wasn't and even as I sit here at work I have been and will continue to struggle with my own inner emotions about her condition.

I don't expect you to care nor understand but that is life. Happy belated birthday!!!!!!!!

Call you on the phone...Dude Larry is dealing with his own set of health issues with his wife so of course we did not laugh and conversate as we would normally do. Mike you have become too predictable. If it has something to do with remotely expressing a disagreement with anybody that is a Republican trust good ole M.O. to come out of whatever hole he is in to make a comment. Now you are entitled to yours just as I am entitled to mine but I stand by what I felt when I wrote it and that really is that. As for you playing the race card slightly it would take a IGNORANT ASS (that's right I said it) like you to start that one.

I never once said that the president was a racist nor have I ever really blamed him for the wrongs within our communities. If I really had to blame him for anything it would be for being just as IGNORANT as yourÂ ASS is when it comes to AFRICAN-AMERICAN people. You play that role like you care but you could care less. The only black folk you give the time of day to are the ones that have forgotten where they came fromÂ and are afraid to let you know where to get off at. Have I not called you out before?

The truth be told we have been our own worse enemies for a long time and that was a hard pill for me to swallow in the beginning but now it is the hard cold truth. I can accept that. It didn't start when we were brought over as slaves by your peeps. Our own african kings were doing it long before any white man decided to land on the continent. But once again (using my ebonic dialect) you so ignant you can't hear me admit it.

I am not in the mood to debate you because it's no secret who you bend over and bow down for. And that is your bed to lie in. Debate with someone else.

Is it safe to say thank you Stacie? Yes I did mean to spark the debate and the points you raise are all true. I don't disagree that those who stayed should have left (I know I would have), I don't disagree that the local levels should have use much more emphasis on evacuating instead of guestimating, and most definately the Federal level was slow.

But I have lived in Baton Rouge for a minute and one thing is for sure the lifestyle there is not one of a city lifestyle. Everything is taken in stride so if the local agency did not stress evacuating how do you expect the public to respond?

All in all there is truly enough blame to pass around and as you put it no one wants to MAN/WOMAN up to where they dropped the ball. But you can be rest assured that when it is all said and done through the tax dollars we all will pay for it.

*Side note* I know enough about my history to know that blaming the white man is just a cop out. But that doesn't stop me from calling a IGNORANT ASS a IGNORANT ASS regardless of color...right Mike!

Wow...so much to read here. I have blogged for almost 1 year (Thank Aaron) and I really don't blog everyday or every week like some of my blogging peers.

I blog when there is an issue or subject (Personal or Public) that even I can't help but to add my 2 cents worth. But I also put my own peronal being out here on the internet and that is a big step for anyone who does.

I could care less for talking about politics because it always ends up in some disagreement between people are not in position to change the problem anyway.

I don't talk TECH shop because I do that stuff all day so if you are familiar with it you will know the struggle it takes just to cut the home PC on.

According to my stats I am lesser known. But I keep on doing what I do when my mind says to. To the lesser known bloggers keep on doing what you do. Without us the blogesphere would not have variety or flavor.

Okay so I am late with my response. But I do agree (what a black man agreeing with you?) that the dream is still a dream. It saddens me the over the years we as a society have not moved towards making it a reality.

It is sad that some of my fellow African-Americans are under the impression that in order to achieve the dream you have to work towards it.

It saddens me that our Africn-American communities have given up on achieving the dream but yet use the day to manifest anger towards "The Man" for something that truly is not valid.

Like I wrote in my post "Observing MLK Day" Prayerfully I will be alive to see "The Dream" become a reality. But it has got to start within first.

9/11 will be raw to a lot of us for a long time. I mean life as we know has been forever tainted because of it. But once the desire to know first hand or try to get as close to a visual as one possibly can does put a different spin on the emotion. I am sure if you saw the documentary the two french guys did on 9/11 but that to me was riviting.

T.O. coming to Dallas was a mistake and I was not too happy about that. As you can see his presence hasn't really had an effect on the team (at least in my eyes)win/loss situation. In all actuality his prescence is just like mine was at NG in Tyson's but worse.
