Why do we insist on saying people cant be the fan of a club without our grandpappy being a fan of a club. am i no less a Manu fan cause by parents dont know who the busby babes were. Because most of Us in USa didnt have the ability to be exposed to english soccer 10 years ago or 20 years ago makes me less a fan..
I started following Manu in 1995...does that mean i jumped on the band wagon or is it when i first begin to really watch them.. and ill match anyone else for nuttiness...i even have Manu

but I can also get excited to watch liverpool yesterday and the Hammers tomorrow...



so if the new footy fans drift to Chelsea or Liverpool or Manu cause they are exciting right now great. if they stay fans even better...if they support w ham or man city cause they got those americans on it great...the bigger the fan best the better....



bring on the beers when is the EPl review show on.......less then 48 hrs to champions league....



PS im an old deadhead.... did it make me mad when the crowds swelled and the band got popular...sure a bit harder to get a seat but we welcomed the newbies cause they were finally gettin it...

What a long strange trip its been

it was a goo dmorning for watching as an american in love with th EPl/// My thought re the concern about the lvierpool defence....now leaking 7 goals in 5 games.....is it all the new players integrated into the system...


again couch for liverpool doenst seem to get it done yet



Chelsea struggled to finish..im not sure the system is working.....i preferred the wingers



speaking of wengers...maybe the pitch at emeritus is too wide for arsenal....but Fabrages needs to go foward.....he is stiffled as the holding mid..some of thier late creativity came when he went foward.......it still seems arsenal is great with the ball but not the net they still lack the ability to score outside of the box....



my boys....manu was out of sorts today..partially due to the agressive and tight marking of Tot...(king was a big difference) partially

manu passes were a step off. fortunately for Manu

Van dar Sa was great....ronaldo played suberb////it was great to see neville, and even evra looked good.....manu was fortunate....but these are the games they lost last year

i dont know after a couple beers with my eggs during the liverpool game the aresenal game did look fuzzy and by the time of the reading game.....my hd picture looked just so fine




but it was still much better then no footy at all

Has anyone else heard the rumour of Clint Dempsey to charlton but the MLS wont let him go..a great move for him and charlton

we all are haveing fun voicing our ideas and opinions but it is sure going to be nice to laugh at the gaffer next May on his Arseanl predictions....... either anonymous blogs a lot or he has got a lot of relatives... How about lets all sign in with a name......unless you are hiding in cyber space

I understand that as a Manu fan we must face the "I hate Manu philosophy which is slowly becoming the I hate chelsea but Arsenal to win the league....
1. they are way too youn

2. the players are wanting away

(Vierra, Campbell, Reyes)

3. Arsenal back in was shakey to begin with last year...

4. Their away form was horrible even down the stretch ...and isnt arsenal actual still away.. This isnt Highbury they are playing at.

This is a new staduim with new deminsions.....

That being said

I dont think Manu can win it but

United was strong at the end of last year making a strong run...

and pressuring Chelsea at the end

and that was without Heinz & Scholes. and Rudd on the bench.



remeber Saha was the leading scorer in the EPL before coming over. Ole gunner has a deadly one goal in every 2 matches strike rate. Carrick can only help.



I think it will be very tight race and I see this way

1. Chelsea (barely)

2. Manu

3. Liverpool

4. Arseanl

5. Totenham



But the best part is it all up for grabs when the first ball is kicked, injuries, luck and all sorts of things will make a difference......

so bring on the beer and lets get ready to go

As Long as the beer holds out and my wife doesnt scream too loud it footy all day Saturday and Sunday.... I even have my own bar now if I can only find cute waitress......


Actually last year i had the EPL PPV package and FSC. Saturdays would start at 7:30 am after biking, then short break before the 10 match and then right into the noon match. You got a little break before the tape dealy. To be honest if the tape dealy was a first class match it never got watched......



You do start to pick and choose but when that winter wind blows here in ohio......just prop me up on my bar stool and the let the games begin....

The problem isnt necessary setanta. It usually the cable systems that do not want to add the channels. Many of you may not remember or didnt live in an area where foxworld was not put of a cable package. After 2 plus years of talking to my cable company (time Warner) to add that channel and being promised yes it is coming...I invested over $1000 (yes before they were giving direct tv away)for my sytem.....
The problem wanst foxworld it was my cable company.......SO if I was you I would round up my footy friends and start contacting your local cable company.............

and if you dont have setanta your welcome to come watch at my house just bring some beer

I think it is a great deal for Soccer Fans. personally I save $300 a year cause I purchased the PPV package. I think Setanta is a bargain even at $15 a month. I was direct Tv for 6 years switched the cable - no setanata, no epl ppv, picture wasnt as good. So back to Direct TV, my homeowners assoc hasnt figured out where Im hiding the dish, my kids and wife hate me cause they dont get ondemand, but sometimes you just got to have your EPL all day long........bring on the beers
