I know I shouldn't be working late at night, after a day of hard work. But as wine tasting is my job I cannot help to open a sample and just enjoy it. So, just about 2 hours ago I was tasting a great fresh 2007 Sauvignon Blanc called "show". It's a vino de la tierra sample from the DO Manchuela area. I drank the wine with a home made salad while I was watching Inspector Lewis. The sample was not labeled so I didn't send you a photo. Shouldn't be too hard to find some importers out there. Great wine, great price, oops I'm working again... sorry

I've visited 5 very interesting wineries in the area. Perez Barquero, Alvaear, Robles, Toro Albala, and Coop la Aurora.
Each of them had very interesting wines, and each of them had an own story. I realy would like to follow your advice and visit Torres Burgos and Bodegas Delgado as well. hope to post my comments on the bodegas i visited.

in D.O. Calatayud con 90 puntos de Parker en Aldi on Catavino.es
El día 10 de octubre he hablado con Yolanda Diaz, exportmanager of Bodegas San Alejandro. Me comentó que se trata de una venta puntual y de una cantidad limitada de botellas. Ademas me confirmó que Aldi va mencionar que el vino tienen 90 puntos de Parker, algo que es significativo para una cadena tipo discount. Quiere decir que el mercado en todos los niveles está teneindo en cuento lo que dice Parker, y que los compradores de los supermercados y cadenas discount utilizan Parker como un argumento de venta. El precio de € 6,99 lo ha dictado la la bodega, y no es especialmente bajo. Es el precio normal en el mercado y no más bajo que los precios que están ofreciendo los otros importadores en el mundo.
