That's right, this is YOUR spot. You can give YOUR opinion on anything and everything. You don't have to bite your tongue to please others.
Freedom of speech.

On my blog in the disclaimer it says: my blog my opinion . . .don't like it click elsewhere.

Marvalus You know, Sharon...I've decided that I don't really care...I don't keep track of my stats on this blog, I don't do it for recognition or an audience...this is for me.

If other people find it and get something out of it, good. If not, good.

That sh*t was a hot mess. I honestly wished that they would have not tried to give a tribute show at all and did something at a later date.

I am still shaking my head about that . . .I am so hot.

Even my daughter, at 13, was livid with BET. She kept saying I thought you said they were going to do a tribute to MIchael Jackson. As if I told her a lie. Which I guess I did.
And for a child who loves today's music almost cry because she wanted a proper tribute to an icon. . .you know it was bad.
And even without the tribute that show sucked.

What did I expect BET hasn't been worth watching since forever.

And from the promos for the new shows, Tiny and Toya, it won't be worth watching for years to come.
I am about ready to put that station on lock with the parental control option, I don't want my children watching that shucking and jiving sh*t.

And I am so with you. . .F*CK BET.

Marvalus The only enjoyment I got out of those awards was the commentary on Twitter...and some of the performances...

They can kiss my entire ass...I will not watch that channel again.

I am usually asleep by now, but I can;t turn off the TV and I keep getting so misty eyed. It is so hard to believe. Don't Stop has always been a favorite of mine.
Michael and his moonwalk :)

I like Vogue but I don't like Vogue. I am weird like that.
If it is playing I am cool with it . . . I'll vogue, but I ain't going to go buy it and play it at a party :)

I can't wait to read about your project.

I was really upset about Tyson's daughter because it makes you realize anything can happen. And when it happens to a child it seems even more unfair.

We are thinking alike, on Monday I plan on blogging about the book. I love the book. It is so good. Actually it is rather sad.
And I am going to mention the movie too.

You already know I am excited about the movie.

Marvalus I pulled the book out of my closet to read it again...it burned me to my core when I read it the first time, and there are tear stains on the pages...but I'm going to read it again.

I'll look for your post...

Gladys looks so pretty. Not sure about the Flintstone dress.
And the song is of course good.

in Life Lesson #7: Honesty on Conversations With Marva
These words are so true for me too. Some times I want to just stop and go back in my room and hide. .. but I can't.
And I always tell people I would rather lived my life then a different one because it helped make me who I am today.

I am not sure about going to see Wolverine and most times I am one to run to movies like that. I do want to see GI Joe and Transformers.

My daughter is going through the I got a smart mouth and think i am grown and know it all with an attitude phase. Teenagers!!

I write to music too. I have to find the right music for what I am writing about.

Marvalus I forgot about Transformers...I may see that, I like the machines changing into stuff and blowing up stuff...

These teenagers! Girl...

It can be Erykah Badu one night, Nina Simone the next...but I can't seem to write without a soundtrack...

Danger? With the tattoo (which I thought was a birth mark until my daughter corrected me) on her face? Why?

I really don't care who wins because it doesn't matter there will be a number 2. Which means he chose the money.

I only watch if there is nothing on and For the Love of Ray J is repeating.

The Jackson 5 are always on point with their music.

in Sunday Inspirations/Thoughts: My Pledge on Conversations With Marva
I came to work after the Inauguration. Everyone was busy like nothing happened.
I was high off watching it on TV. So, when I got there it was almost a let down but I stayed happy.

I too have pledge to volunteer and eat better.

I made those pledges before Obama's speech. It is my goals (resolutions) to becoming a better person.

One other thing about that day. I sent my children to school thinking they would watch it there. They didn't.

I was upset by that. I would have let them stay home that day had I known.

I wrote a post and one of my resolutions for 2009 is to find out what God wants from me instead of me wanting from him. Yet I still want the things that I want so I have much to hear from God on. And I have to listen with an open heart.

I was always the opposite way when I was younger I hid my womaness (made up a word). As I aged I embraced it and learn to flaunt it. Don't have to sleep with the men you attract but you can appreciate the attention you can command.

And my daughter is now thirteen and two women going through changes,in life, is a battle in itself.

in New map plots where you're most likely to DIE! on Sagacious Rambling
I don't like things like this. . .let me be surprised in the end. lol

No but I do tend to stay away from the morbid things. There is this site that will tell you when you are going to die and I can't stand even seeing the ad for it.
