oh I have to correct that: they don't appear in my list yet, it says "you have no friends who are not on facebook"

@mark this could be because he has used a different email as he registered and not the one you have used for the invitation.

it is also possible to send emails via the facebook messaging system to non-facebook members. Those people appear there as well.

First to the lowest part of the "more" section of friends, where almost nobody could see it, and then offline... that is how it goes, isn't it ?
With my app (attached) I have put a link to everyone's social timeline to make it more popular, yeah it was even possible to view the timeline of friends with timeline.php?id=..
What I have on the title page of it was the friend game,
that was a little quiz about who had what hobby of your friends. That is gone now as well!!!!

I second this article absolutely. I really considered myself an old stager on facebook, but some time in 2007 I found out that the X do not delete the stories from the News feed, and that was really surprising.

But now sth. I only found out a few weeks ago: I really felt on the safe side with applications with turned off News feed: "Publish stories in my News feed" was off and "Publish stories in my Mini feed was on".

Only now as a developer I understood that if "Mini feed" is on the stories are publish in News feeds of FRIENDS (!) at the same time, and the "my News feed" box really just affects MY OWN home page...

I always thought, I would stop ANY news feed entries by ticking the News Feed Box off, but now I know, that as soon as your Mini Feed is on, even if there is an entry there for a minute only, friends can read it days later in their News feeds.

I really don't like that, and found it quite okay to have stories in my Mini feed (for profile visitors) but that should not be Published on home pages...

One of the best things are that the new phrases that are to be translated give you a first hand insight about what the next changes on facebook will be. (E.g what buttons and functions the new feature facebook chat will have).
Today I've found sth. really interesting that could reduce invitations from spammy apps soon, or better: spammy friends :)

apropos "counting friends", what I really don't like is that now (for ~ a month or so) the first thing on my facebook profile is "View Chris's friends (xxx)", that cannot turned off as far as I know, and even if you send email invitations, they say sth like "Hi I'm Chris, I have yyy Wall posts and xxx friends...." ?!?
That number is, as Sebastian said, pointless, and the more 'friends' you almost don't know are in my list, the less interesting the News Feed gets..

In the friends section I can see a new friend list that is named "limited Profile" now, and the privacy settings restrict certain parts of the profile like pictures etc..
