I'm a very big fan of this site as not only a dj, but also a venue booker. This picture was taken at HotHouse in Chicago where I booked Henry about three years ago. Glad to see him getting some love on your blog. Peace

Hey! I'm from New York City and I can tell you that NYC is very safe during the "normal" hours. But after 11:30pm, take a cab if you can.

NYC will get cold soon so enjoy it for the time being.
Have you made visit to Central Park? 5th Avenue? East Village?

Happy Birthday guys! You have been doing an awsome job and I check this website daily. As a first time Coachella goer and new to the whole music festival scene, I was glad that there was a sing website that had updates on all the music festivals in one nicely organized place.

Now with the music reviews and news articles this website has been my go to place for music related things. Mad props to you guys, you've gone an amazing job!

in Beyond Palin’s Personality (by Jim Wallis) on God's Politics
I appreciate all that you're doing for the neutralization of politics in America, Jim. Sadly, the more i read from you the more i feel your slogan should change to "God is not a republican or a democrat... but He is most likely a democrat." Or give your mantra to someone else.

in Spot The Difference: New Rangers Away Shirt vs 1980-83 England Home Shirt on EPL Talk
I am a rangers fan and know that these similarities to england will probably make them buy the top more to annoy the many nationalists in scotland who dont believe in the union, as many of us(Rangers fans) do.

I went to the Hudson T-Bones twice over a few week period in June and July. The first time, I ordered a BLT Burger. It was at a busy time of day, but it took forever to place the order and too long to get it. When I got the burger, it was COLD and the bread was soaked with cool greese. I complained and got the meal for free. I went back again a couple of weeks later, on a Sunday afternoon at about 2 pm, and had a similar result, long wait, the burger wasn't as bad, but it was far from hot. I did not complain the 2nd time. I will not go back for a long time.

Have to disagree with the little bit of Kuyt bashing. He was brilliant on the right last season. His movement opens up the channels for Torres to play between the lines as Rafa always puts it. Torres has said himself that many of his goals were the result of Kuyts all day running, allowing space to open up for him. So can everyone stop givin him a hard time. (great fo the dutch this summer too)

in Agriprocessors Imports Homeless Workers and Postville Pays a Price on The Iowa Independent
Labels Any company can change its brand names and labels. But one thing it cannot change is the USDA establishment code which identifies which plant the product came from. Agriprocessors Est code is 4653A.

If consumers look for that code they can identify whether or not the product came from Agriprocessors and decide to purchase it, or not.

They should really give up Le coq sportif and try to land a high profile Nike or Puma Deal

in Album Review: Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace on Consequence of Sound
I've got to disagree with you Michael about the Offspring/Greenday comparison section. I'd say both became more mainstream after their punk years 1994-97, Greenday were always seen by many fellow punk bands around them as "poster boys" of punk rock. because they became very commercial and some might say -emo. they did mature to a degree in american idiot, but they were VERY poppy and very MAINSTREAM at that time. Now you're probably think why I am going on about Greenday, when The Offspring produced very poppy/mainstream singles themselves. Well it's because they were just that - singles. They didn't excessively put themselves out there in the world of pop like Greenday did; some may disagree, though they weren't on the cover of every teen magazine. Sure they produced poppy summer singles, but their punk edge was still there to the rest of the tracks on those albums. The Offspring have always been a more underground band, even when they're in the mainstream. Maturity is something that Offspring have kept off until now, Greenday attempted to succeed with some maturity. They did, but it was swathed in pop. Hopefully this wont be.....

in Album Review: Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace on Consequence of Sound
now I think about it, it's actually is a very good album, it has its flaws but still it's the best thing they've done since Ixnay or maybe Americana. it takes quite a few times to listen to, but i think it defied my original thoughts on it. it shows all different mood states and so forth, while critiquing society, which is what i except for a good offspring record.

sorry I've changed my mind, I recommend you to listen to it again Michael, I can't stop listening to it now. I know how you feel, it's how I thought of the album until I re-listened to it a few times.

One short but contundent answer... what keeps us Zen is... REVENGE!!!

A pure Spaniard should then go out and get the electricity from a traffic light or whatever. hahahaha... I guess this is also the clue for our wines: temperament.

So sorry that you get such a bad impression from our big Corporations...

in Death Cab shine at Pritzker Pavilion (6/3) on Consequence of Sound
Yeah...I was seated. The crowd around me was really terrible. My friend Jeff and I got into though, whether they would or not. We didn't really care, we'd been waiting years to see Death Cab, and we weren't ready to let a crowd ruin our show.

I thought the band was great though. I will definitely have to see them again, whenever they come back.

Still next, we need more people that will get into it. I felt only mildly awkward when my friend and I were the only ones to shout "YEAH!" when Ben announced they'd be playing some tracks off of "We Have the Facts"
