We have been using Google Analytics and GetClicky on all of our sites including RealBird.com, RealKi (now InmanWiki) and on all of our listing websites.

While Google Analytics is great for data mining, it is too complicated (too many options and drill downs) for on-going review of traffic flow. GetClicky on the other hand has a lot of features (see their comp. matrix on their site) which makes it extremely easy to follow what's happening on your site and blog.

It is essential to see how traffic is flowing in and out of your site.

I had a comment on ActiveRain regarding how GetClicky - in combination with other tools - enabled me to turn web traffic flow into real world contact:

http://activerain.com/blogsview/74197/Another-l...

Sorry for the self-promotion, this is really about GetClicky. You add your aggregated feed to MLB, then add the MLB aggregated feed RSS to FriendFeed.com and there you go, you got an infinite loop, like the video feedback effect, the one you can create with a video camera and taking a video of the TV screen which is connected to the very same camcorder.

Not that anybody wants to do this on purpose, but it still raises a few conceptual question: who will be the ultimate final destination to see your aggregated online activities? What happens with the distributed, fragmented communication, like isolated comment islands on these different hubs?

In any case, I am trying this out and see what happens.

http://friendfeed.com/zszendro
and
http://www.mybloglog.com/buzz/members/RealBird/

are now mutually aggregating each other.

-- Zoltan
http://www.RealBird.com

Re: Does Adobe Photoshop Express Have everything Realtors Need?

I like your case study approach. Express is pretty neat Flex magic from Adobe. It has more tools for photo touch-ups than Picnik, but requires more clicks to achieve simple tasks. There are clearly different markets which requires different functionalities. Consumer photo editing, sharing (Adobe Photoshop Express, Picassa Web), photo touch-ups for online and print publications (Photoshop Express and desktop Adobe tools) and photo editing for bloggers and other online activities where speed of use is crucial (Picnik).

I will stick with Picnik for the time being for editing screenshots and photos for blog posts. It is still the quickest way to achieve good quality output. The speed I can complete a task with Picnik is unbeatable. I guess it's going to be a feature race now between these players.

Thanks

-- Zoltan
http://realbird.typepad.com

Re: Now Available: Google Street View via API

Andrew - Nice API addition by Google. Especially the feature which allows controlling the flash pano from javascript. I expect some cool mashups coming out using that interface. On the other hand I hoped for a bit more, like the ability to add hotspots, interactions and media into the panorama itself. Like clicking on a house window and playing a YouTube interior virtual tour video. That sort of things. Hopefully, Google will speed up the addition of new coverages now that developers are creating new demand.

-- Zoltan
http://realbird.typepad.com

Re: Now Available: Google Street View via API

Andrew - Nice implementation ! I am not sure about the actual SEO and direct traffic benefits, but just to be able to show to a new seller that he or she is linked from Google's blog can be very powerful. I am not suggesting deception: Google featured the technology, not the particular agent and it is not a substitute of RE skills and professionalism of course, but it is definitely a plus to be able to show something unique like this.

Re: Want a Link from an Official Google Blog?

We have a winner:

See http://activerain.com/blogsview/889764/And-The-...

Drew, Thanks again sharing the sweepstakes with the readers.
