It's been a while since I popped in on your site (life got in the way) but I must say what a change! I'm still trying to navigate my way through the new look but I'm always giving kudos for taking a risk.

I saw this news today. The average contribution to Obama's campaign is $62. A drop of almost $30 from many months ago - blame it on the economy's state.

in Are Good Guys Drawn to Bad Girls? on Twanna @ FUNKY BROWN CHICK
I don't know about good guys to bad girls. I've seen it a few times with a few guy friends but the guys are so devastated they make it tough for the next girl.

On the flip side, I can understand about the draw to bad boys. But when you get enlightened, you'll avoid them like a plague. For me, I say, how about a nice guy with an edge?

in Boys & Girls Say The Damnedest Things on Twanna @ FUNKY BROWN CHICK
I try to conveniently forget what people have said about how I look. But I'll say this, those comments taught me to be witty and have a wise retort.

Since, I took years to develop in all the right places and sometimes just wore baggy clothes so folks didn't know what kind of shape I really was, they made comments.

But I remember once in my workplace several years ago, a guy told me what I really needed was to grow some hips. Without thinking I replied "what you really need is to lose yours." Need I say He NEVER commented on my appearance again.

in Do You Believe in Soulmates? on Twanna @ FUNKY BROWN CHICK
Hi Funky Brown:

I found your link over the weekend via NPR News and Views and I've loved reading the site - of course, this is my first time commenting.

Do I believe in soulmates? Yes and No depending on where I am in life. If I'm in a committed relationship with a person, then I believe in it. But life throws you a curveball at times, so I don't think you should have one person as your soulmate forever.
