Governments all over the world are looking to integrate more observation tools to investigate their citizens. All under the explication for security against terrorists. But they never explain the fact that before nearly all of the big attacks they have had enough information already to prevent it from happening. They just did not act.

So if you ask me, I think they do not need more tools to intrude our privacy. They just need to improve the processing o the data gathered.

I made it through about the third issue before I gave up on Hudlin's series. I really only liked Panther kicking Captain America's ass. It certainly helped setting the tone of just how powerful T'Challa is.

But the whole thing of having characters who were clearly real people, just with single letters changed in their names is one of those unclever things that some writers seem to like to do (look how timely I am!) and it's just annoying. And I just felt like it was lackluster. This was disappointing as one who loved Christopher Priest's run.

Hey RT,

You know, I don't like jumping in the middle either, and in fact the original post and the first few comments weren't anything to get twisted about. But then they just started sniping, and what really bothers me is that they were railing on Vic about things they obviously don't know anything about...even when it is spelled out for them on BU.

You know, I've "known" Vic for about a month and we've only "talked" through comments & email but he seems like a nice enough guy (once you get past the rough edges) and he proved it to me through your situation. Maybe he wouldn't have done it if you weren't on BZ, I don't know but hey, that point aside (and so what), he still went out of his way to help somebody...a real contradiction to the way they were talking about him.

Anyway, that's the way I see it from here.

Is Facebook a Y! property? I thought the FB guys were holding out a little longer. If so, ok... there is a property worth having but not at that price.

As for users, users are fickle. I have accounts at MSN, Y!, and G. I got my first real email address on Y! in 1995 (and still have it by the way)... and was an ardent Y! supporter till about 6 months ago when I realized Google had fielded a MUCH SUPERIOR product. Despite my 10 years with Y!, I left in one afternoon. What's to say the rest of the Y! users won't leave just as fast?

I can see a move here for M away from the OS / Apps market into the, for lack of a better term, InterWorld market. They still have the lion share of the OS market but it's becomming more irrelevant every day. I can do everything I do now in a browser, indepentent of the platform. With the advent of tools like Google Apps, maybe the big M is seeing the OS market evaporate and (doing what they do best) are either becomming early adopters of the "new" way or leading the rest of us like lambs to the slaughter toward the "new" way.

Whatever the case, M has to have a better reason than product or users. At least that's my two cents worth!

Hey there Dividend Growth,

So far I'm up to three machines. The two head machine I started with plus to of the 4 sided Vendesign machines. The first machine has paid for itself and it bought numbers two and three. I just put two and three out in the last two weeks but by visual inspection of the candy levels they seem to be doing pretty well so far. I'm expecting to clear about $60/month from all three. The first one makes about $5/wk and is not in the best location. Not millionaire status but at least they are paying for themselves.

April, its a funny thing actually. I was trying to find a good picture to go along with the post and quite by accident stumbled upon this one. It's actually a drawing submitted with a patent application from the late 1800's. I don't know if the guy ever sold one or for that matter ever built one, but it was pretty funny and went along with the "kick in the pants" opener!

Good luck with your online business for travel products. One of the hardest things I've had to overcome is the desire to give up when I dont get immediate results. Quality traffic takes time and effort, but once it starts...!!!

Seems like its been forever since we've chatted! Ya know its funny, when I was writing this I asked my wife to help with the "Hallmark Holiday" part of it and my youngest was sitting in the room. She was shocked to find out there was such a thing as grandparents day and she asked the same questions... "well when is childrens day?" Being a few years older that yours, I shared with her just how special every day can be for her. She agreed.

Thanks for stopping by. You're pretty much right. BANS is a software that you can install on your self hosted domains, kinda like word press, or joomla...you give it an eBay category id and a few other parameters and it will create the whole store for you. You can check out Blogger Uniforms if you want to see what one looks like. This is one of my BANS sites.

As for why, well BANS is built around the eBay affiliate program so as the site owner, you'll get commissions off all sales and referrals eBay makes from your site.

Thats the not-so-short of it. Hope it helps.
