I like the paintball idea, but maybe just have one adult with a gun to begin with. We played against our kids 4 vs. 10 and won almost all the games. Also make sure your adults are clear on the purpose and don't get overly competitive. You might also want to make an exception for sacrifice for the team. If a student sacrifices himself to save someone else, then they are not knocked out. Or something like that. Probably wouldn't tell them upfront about the sacrifice rule. (watch bedazzled and you'll get the idea).

I think that someone should not only distribute those straws, but sell them in camping supply and such with a percentage of the proceeds going to help buy straws for world relief agencies. I think these would be great for Missions trips and travel situations where fresh water was lacking or expensive.

I should add to previous comment that I too struggle with this self focus that distracts from a healthy walk.

I've decided that all sin is in essence selfish. Whether it is little "unhealth" like skipping devotions, or a big sin like murder, the motive is self. I appreciate the conncetion you have made, I just wish more would see the truth.
