I am so green when it comes to photography (learning, learning all the time)... anyway, whatever you did, it worked. been meaning to tell you for some time now just how much I enjoy your photography. you have an incredible eye, both in terms of composition and subject. and I LOVE the one of the propain matchbook cover... (ward is feeling it as well).

on a side note, been set up with flickr for awhile but haven't gotten our photos scanned and organized into groups...! looking forward to it as I find flickr to be a wonderful, wonderful thing. I'm big on viewing pics on slideshow and your action shots look amazing in slideshow... if you decrease the display time to 1-2 seconds, you can almost see them dancing (very cool animated-like effect)...

Re: Photo Friday: Action

thanks for the kind words... means a lot, especially coming from you! I'd be honored! never really done one before. (especially when it's something that you've already done once and you know better... I am so guilty of this time and time again!)... but life gets in the way... work and kids... I know how it is. nothing will motivate you like your health, though. I mean, it's great to have the motivation to look good (my twenties!) but when your health is on the line, you can really get serious... my mom had a health scare a couple of years back. she had been battling her weight for years but it was that scare that motivated her to get right. I'm finding that my body is a little less forgiving now that I've hit my thirties and I'm trying so hard to be proactive and establish good habits... but it's SO HARD. like I said, life gets in the way and it is such a struggle.

know that you're not alone in this struggle and know that we'll be praying for you.

Re: Self-Portrait Tuesday

heck of a self-portrait, yo! ouch! hope you're feeling better...

Re: Self-Portrait Tuesday

fantastic SPT. keep on with the ashy, we like it real.

Re: Self-Portrait Tuesday

that's the SHIZZ.

Re: Self-Portrait Tuesday

and even better that it was an accident... dang!

Re: classic album, donated profits

I'm really excited about owning some of your music, man. nice bonus that proceeds are going to to a place in such dire need.

Re: tree huggers

so beautiful... they grow up so fast, don't they? (he'll enjoy reading your take on this, jon, when he gets home)... I'm going to let ward address the whole disney thing as it's the thorn in many a side of many an animator. the incredibles indeed rocked the casbah and pixar is to thank for that. disney just owns pixar and in no way can take any credit for the creativity and freshness there... which brings us to chicken little and you see what disney is doing and it doesn't seem to be working. they have made some horrible, horrible moves and this movie is the proof. yikes, I'm starting to channel ward here! anyway, enjoyed reading your review/rant.

Re: Photo Friday: Warm

lovely, so lovely. what a beautiful smile! fantastic shot, too.

Re: pier 66

I cannot adequately express the love I am feeling for this photo

seriously.

Re: colourful block

and might I add: a nice self portrait (assuming that is your shadow)...

Re: SPT late entry

yesyes, it's fantastic.
