But a pig is not a dog so I'm confused as to how McCain's people could make such a mistake. Any child knows the difference. Perhaps they need more children as analysts.

Re: Only Some of Us Are Celebrating Today

The fact that Wall Street went out of their way to keep the government out of their turf so they could pursue unfettered profit is their business. They deserve to fall flat on their ass(et)s if the market turns on them.

If anyone is to blame, I would first say Congress for letting the depression-era regulations lapse without thoroughly vetting problems that would arise if the regulations were not in place. Second, I would blame the FED for letting businesses getting so large than a collapse by a single entity would cause a market collapse, recession, or depression.

The bailout of Wall Street is necessary only because those responsible to ensure the financial safety of the people of the US failed to carry out their fiduciary responsibilities in a responsible manner, caving into greed and politics.

Re: As Mayor, Palin Got Zoning Perks and Gifts

Too bad she's married. I suspect republicans aversion to oversight, the necessary component of BoP, is a political payoff to payoff to their big campaign donors. The current meltdown on Wall Street can't be summarized correctly without admitting lack of oversight and repeal of depression-era banking regulations were working hand-in-hand to breakdown the foundations of financial safety for the public in the financial markets.

Re: Palin Now a Supreme Court Scholar

Okay. Let's see it. I'm all for voter fraud investigations, but there has to be evidence other than hearsay and word of mouth. So far, the investigations into suspected voter fraud hasn't turned up but only a few instances where fraud has been committed. That's not enough to warrant such dragnet operations. I will agree community organizers, such as ACORN, need to be regulated by city, county and state offices to ensure compliance. It's a state issue that needs to be addressed at the state level. And I seriously doubt voter fraud is going to turn this election. There's no evidence to support such a massive conspiracy.

Re: ACORN Office Raid Reflects GOP Anger at Voter Registration Drive

Thanks for stating facts to substantial the current voter fraud epidemic repugs are so scared of is a figment of their rabid imagination.

Re: McCain Plays It Cool, Doesn’t Change the Game

I didn't see it that way. McCain was too busy stumping and not giving the audience, local and viewer, more information. I saw him weaving around and dodging specific that I would have considered important enough to consider his campaign. Obama also weaved and dodged, but he was more of the meat and potatoes course, You got to see and smell was was going to be served.

Re: Troopergate Report: Palin ‘Abused Her Power’

Some people require an electrical stimulus to keep their hearts beating. You need a taser wired to your brain to keep it electrically stimulated. From the judge's ruling, he saw the threats and innuendos emanating from all members of the Palin clan as "child abuse" and so stated. I suspect there were no threats made. It's easy for a family clan to make an accusation of verbal threats and think they are safe because its us against him.

Re: Troopergate Report: Palin ‘Abused Her Power’

She's making Cheney look like a Saint.
