in Will the Youth Vote Actually Turn Out? on The Washington Independent
I was reading through your blog and since one of your subjects dealt with politics and the power of the youth vote, you might be interested to view or maybe even post this video on your blog.
As it is, more and more of America's youths are becoming apathetic to the whole election process, as well as with politics and governance in general, so hopefully, a video like this might rile them up and tell them to make a stand for their own future. After all, to paraphrase the saying, the future is what they make of it.
You can check out the video on this site: http://www.mobilizethevote2008.com/
As well as on YouTube through this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4kg514DcTA
Peace!

in Giveaway Alert: Massive Summer Giveaway on Pajama Professional
Promising promo here but I'm not really sure if I'll be using most of what they're offering, if at all. And it's pretty easy to quote a price of over 11 grand. I suggest you lay everything out in the open because what if we sign up and we don't like what you're offering? What then? I'm sorry. but from my experience, offers that are too good to be true turn out to be just that - they're too good to be true.

in Yoast’s Definitive Guide to WordPress SEO on DotSauce Magazine
I recently just started to learn about WordPress blogging and a lot of my online friends have mentioned Joost's name with much reverence. And he's right to call his article the "definitive guide" to high blog ranking because it is. When you called the article "comprehensive," the first thing that came to my mind was that it's bound to be long so I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it's not as long as I initially thought it would be. Some people would pay to have something like this in a book and yet, Joost is giving this one for free so mad props for him.

Good post you got here. I think the reason why NASCAR has a bigger fan base than IndyCar is because everything about it feels more homegrown. You've got teams who have their headquarters down south, almost all the drivers are homegrown, plus it's pretty much the top-tier race car series in the country, whereas IndyCar has a lot of foreign talent driving for the teams plus it's sometimes considered as a feeder series for Formula One. I guess you can say that nation pride has got a lot to do with NASCAR's success.

in A Lack of Social Media in Higher Education? on How To Split An Atom
Good post you have there, and I agree with you wholeheartedly. More colleges and universities should embrace the digital age. It shouldn't be just limited to tech schools like Caltech and MIT because at the rate it (the digital age) is going, with more and more businesses diversifying into the digital domain, the curriculum of the classes that don't touch on it are going to become obsolete much, much sooner than they expect.

Vary interesting and entertaining links you have here. Social Networking sites are a love-it or hate-it thing, and more often than not, I join them just make my online presence. Facebook is becoming way too cluttered with apps it's become a nuisance, and MySpace is just plain cluttered, PERIOD. But still, through Social Networking, I was able to get in touch with friends who I haven't seen for a long, long time. I guess that makes Social Networking a necessary evil.

Great find you have here. I was just planning to make my own portfolio out of my Geocities account but what you have here saves me the time and the effort of doing all the necessary coding and stuff. Keep it up.

I still think there's a fine line between domaining and cybersquatting because, although domaining avoids using trademarked names and such, you still profit from what are basically generic names and terms. By buying a generic domain name from GoDaddy at $6+ to as high as $30+ from Network Solutions, you could profit from it by selling it in the high 4-figure range to someone who's really keen to buy it from you. It's legal, yes, but it leaves a sour taste in the mouth because it's still not a tangible product or service.
