in FreshBooks Integration Complete on Clarity Accounting Blog
Will this help me bill by clients in different currencies? Right now this is one of the problems with have with Freshbooks. Your product is certainly available at a good price, but I do wonder how smoothly the integration will be with other services. Would be nice if the bank balance could be automatically updated too. Heck, automated check validation even.

maychu Clarity Accounting has a robust multi-currency support built in whereby the exchange rates are automatically updated on a daily basis. Currently FreshBook users have to create two FreshBooks accounts to handle two different currencies, our integration with FreshBooks allows you to import data from multiple FreshBooks accounts with different currencies. We are currently working on a Bank Statement upload. We are doing the upload instead of an automatic download because we have people who signed up from 80 different countries and it would be a nightmare to find out how to integrate with thousands of banks! Check printing is on the development agenda after bank statement upload :)
Thank you for taking the time to check out Clarity Accounting!

in Why StatCan is (or could be) like Google on eaves.ca
Ya, I've gotta say that the staff time alone involved in my last purchase of information (that should have been given to me for free), was probably well more than what I paid for it.

Would have been a cost savings if they had just published the data to the website and allowed me to download it every few months.

in Canada embarks on major Web 2.0 initiative on IT Business
Been a few months since this was published, but it seems to me that the big Web 2.0 initiatives that people are talking about at the end of 2008 are tied to open source. GCPedia & NRCan have both made big waves with their successful implementations of MediaWiki. There's quite a lot of interest in Drupal in different government departments. Not sure what OpenText has been successful in implementing which goes over and above what the open source community has already provided without a 7 year contract with a fixed vendor.

Would really like to see some easy way to upload this to either Blip or Flickr. Neat tool.

If you're going to spend that kind of money, might as well buy something like - http://greenspeed.com.au/gtt.html - which would go way faster and be safer too.
