A prospective student who does not know the vocabulary of our programs has different needs compared to a current student.

The biggest hurdle/trend that I see is that oftentimes we think we know what people want to see/read/digest/etc. and the web stats + anecdotal feedback can and will differ from our preconceived notions.

Re: Where Are The Fred T-Shirts

At first he's annoying and then it starts to get funny. Thanks for going through the testing process and posting about it. I've been using Statcounter and Google Analytics for quite some time now on my personal site. I pay for a bit more log space for Statcounter. I like that it provides up to the minute info.

PS: heatmap analysis is such a great way to show people a visual representation of what users are actually clicking...love the crazy egg!

Re: Do You Join the Conversation or Stay at a Distance? Thanks for putting this up! It's been a while since I visited your site...the Erase Racism Carnival, and I am stoked that I decided to take a peek. Good stuff.
