in Firefox 3: Fonts and text on dria
The font handling is beautiful...except I'm having a problem with Japanese fonts on a particular page that nobody else seems to have. In Firefox 2, the Japanese fonts render beautifully, whereas in Firefox 3, it changes to an ugly, nearly unreadable block font. Has anyoen seen this? I'm going to try FF3 again, and if the font problem continues, I will open up a support request on the Mozilla forums.

in Another Reason Not to Use Online Translators on Tofugu Comments
Not sure if you saw this, Koichi...a little crude, but another example of why one shouldn't use translation tools! http://www.shipmentoffail.com/fails/2008/05/tra...

in How to Enjoy Mixi, The Biggest SNS in Japan on MOBINODE
You can get around the Japanese mobile phone requirement if you have a friend in Japan who can get you a loaner email address through their ISP. It's only foreign and 'free' email providers that get that prompt for the cell phone number. A contact in Japan set me up a temporary account so I could get signed up, then I went into Settings and change the email address. Piece of cake (sorta). :)

in What Moms Really Think About SEX on Discovering Dad
We've discovered that we have to strike while the iron's hot, so to speak. If one of us is tired and the other one wants sex, we've learned that the tired one needs to wake up and go along with it, because we don't know the next time we'll have the chance. Sometimes it's her, sometimes it's me, but we find that once one of us is into it, the tired one soon follows (kinda hard to not wake up when the sparks are starting to fly). :)

jnbammer Do you guys have an agreement about this - going along with it? Sounds like it works for ya'll, but how did you get to the point of agreeing on this?

in My 5 Biggest Fears Being A Dad on Building Camelot
I'm constantly having to 'cast down' those thoughts, those fears, about my kids dying or getting injured, or fear of somehow getting so busy that I miss their childhood, or messing up their lives, or...well, the list goes on and on. But yes, it's difficult getting control of these fears.

in http://gary.tumblr.com/post/78887853 on Gary Vaynerchuk
I worry about my legacy sometimes, because I'm still trying to 'find myself'. I get frustrated because someone could Google me in a few years, and I worry that people might think I'm a flake because I've gone through so many personal changes in the last few years. While they've all been for the better, I'm concerned because a lot of people don't believe humans can change...adapt...evolve...grow...whatever, and I don't want to be stuck with an albatross around my neck just because I've said or done stupid things here and there on the Internet. I will be more careful, I think, from now on, knowing that whatever I say is being recorded somewhere, even if nowhere else but the back of my mind. Gary, you are an inspiration. Thank you.
