Good stuff. I picked up a windshield camera mount off ebay from a guy who made them himself, worked pretty well. here is a short vid with it: http://youtube.com/watch?v=3jB4XVDUgfo

I'm thinking about picking up one of these, looks huge but I like the idea of being able to mount on the exterior. (hopefully works better than my bumpercam mount!)

Glad you went with the TX1, you will love it. I have 2 of them and really love the quality of the video and photos. The default stabilazation is decent, but a rig like you described would be cool. Check out http://powershot-tx1.blogspot.com/ for some more info on this kick-butt little camera.

Check out the Canon TX1. I have one and use it for video all the time, produces some great HD video and great photos. Downside is it uses a jpeg fornat for video that eats up space- but the quality is excellent.Fits in your front pocket, great little camera.

THat HTC is a fine windows mobile device, not much more powerful than my Samsung i760. To compare it to a full blown UMPC is not reasonable.

Too bad microsoft dropped the "pocket pc" name for those devices. Of course OQO would argue that they are a true ppc... oh well. Whatever gets you through the day I guess!
