As for not writing about Las Paletas... just waiting for the right opportunity, since they've been around for awhile. We loooooove them.

@fishwreck - We left from about 15 mins outside of downtown, so I guess that adds a bit of time. There was a lot of construction on the way, too. But Bowling Green has always been a little over an hour from my house, even in the middle of the night.

@sarah - I know some of them read Nashvillest, so maybe they can give you an answer themselves ;)

@Kelliente - We're basically 13th highest, or 37th lowest. The national average is 1.421 fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles traveled. The individual states report rates from 0.785 (MA - ranked #1) to 2.364 (MT - ranked #50). Tennessee's actual number is 1.829, putting us in 37th place.

Hope that helps shed a little light on the numbers. I actually originally thought it was ranked highest to lowest, but after a little digging I found the breakdown.

@matt - Yeah, we're lazy. Real lazy. You'll notice we didn't even wake up to post earlier than 9am this morning. We're faithful attendees of the twitter meetups, though (those are at night).

@Jim - It's probably because if you turn left on yellow here in Nashville you'll get hit, since no one actually stops for red lights.

@Anon - I can't say that I've ever heard anyone refer to the Pancake Pantry as PanPan. Point taken.

@crashmattb - I think the Matchbox 20 intro is my favorite part of every video. It never gets old.

@sarah - Agreed, but going to IKEA in my '94 Nissan Sentra doesn't let me bring back a bed or a bookcase! And they don't bring back loose items under $10, which is the most fun stuff to pick through. :)

@Nashveggie - I'm a vegetarian, so I won't be hanging out with the cows today... but all things considered, this freebie just might be better than tacos from Jack in the Box. Ew.

@S - There's a licensed store downtown, which is halfway like a real Chick Fil A. Then there's one on Franklin Pike in Brentwood (off the Old Hickory exit) and there's one in Cool Springs. And locations in Rivergate, Hickory Hollow, Hermitage, etc.

@AuntB. - Probably not, although I'm sure we could use the blogging council. I'd rather save the money and day off work for something else. It sounds cool, but kind of niche.

The feminist in me is sort of offended that there's a separate conference for female bloggers. The ruthless business instinct in me says that if people will pay to go to a lady blogging conference, someone will come up with the lady blogging conference for them to pay for.
