I discovered Vonnegut quite late at a Douglas Coupland reading. Douglas Coupland (one of my favorite authors) rated him as his inspiration and model. On that note I bought 8 of his books and devoured them over the last few years. Stories of Tramalfadore (spelling?) etc will last in my mind for years to come.
