One thing I don't understand, how could they cut their carbon footprint by 140%. There is only up to 100% when you go down.

Preston That figure was cited in The Guardian article and it's meant to imply that they've gone past carbon neutrality. By exporting renewable energy, they've moved beyond 100%.

I agree with Nathaniel. The rapid industrial and the non responsible way it used and still using energy resources are the cause for the pollution disaster. There are many power resources that are much cleaner than using fossil based energy.
