I thought you did really well Gareth. It flowed very naturally.

You've got a track record now Robert. First it was Second Life, now this. Is there any company whose terms of service you won't break? :-)

Be sure to read the license for GlovePIE. It's interesting, shall we say. It was enough to put me off. I'm using Wiinstrument (from screenfashion.org) to go from Wii to MIDI. There's a Java library called Wiiremotej, which you might like too. Have not tried that yet.

in Dopplr: cool online service for frequent business travelers on Scobleizer
I know it was closed beta until this week, but there were plenty of people who would have given you one of their invites Robert. I'm sure if you'd asked on Twitter, you'd have had dozens of invites in seconds.
Ah well. Glad to see you finally trying it. It's great.

in What I learned on Scobleizer
I agree with Ian Betteridge (#18) that "Google is getting noisier and isn’t improving as fast as we’d like it." is not necessarily true. I don't see that much crud in Google search results. Less today than a couple of years ago, actually.
I'd echo the suggestions about transcripts being useful for video (and, actually, audio) content. Think not just of the people who are deaf, but the people with short attention spans who want to skip the slow bits.

in Why Mahalo, TechMeme, and Facebook are going to kick Google’s butt in four years on Scobleizer
Regarding "No Google. No TechMeme (this post is too short to show up there)."
The link from Techmeme (it's a lowercase m Robert) at http://www.techmeme.com/070827/p9#a070827p9 has been mentioned already.
I see from comment #32 (link to OnoTech) that you know we can get from Google to this blog (and the post on Techmeme) with relevant terms (Mahalo, Techmeme, Facebook, Google, Scoble' all the way down to 'Mahalo, Techmeme'). In addition, the first of the three videos on Kyte is now the top result at http://google.com/search?q=social+graph+based+s...
Did you spot that? 'social graph based search'.
I think you're 0 for 2 on your no Google, no Techmeme theory.

The first of the three videos is already the number one result.
I thought it was interesting anyway.

I'll take a Gleamd invite off your hands if you still have one going. Thanks for the offer (and the post!).
