in Al Mohler Takes Stand on Emergent Profanity on the Jesus Manifesto
No, I don't think it crosses the line... if he did say that stuff. If he did, then a posting is completely poignant. To see it all together in writing makes for some pretty hilarious reading. Brilliant!
If he didn't say it though... I would think it is much too inflammatory. Unnecessarily so. So I suppose depending on the circumstances it's necessary or vice versa.

I commented on my site... but yah, I totally get it. It is so, so, soo difficult not to rate our success by the traditional "marks" of success that we have grown up hearing. It gets depressing if we do. The radical changing that is needed is such a lonely and challenging road. It feels really good to know that we ARE NOT alone in this.
Good thoughts, Corey.

Mark, truth be told, you are not really that weird seeing a spiritual director, and I think more than not, most people probably think it is a cool thing to see a spiritual director. Of course, this is coming from a guy who has been seeing someone for three years. I would say it is one of the BEST things someone can do for their personal and spiritual life. Everyone should see a director and we should be training to be directors ourselves.

Mark, that's awesome. I am totally with you on liberating the food. Perhaps I need a new "experiment" in my life... See you at the dinner, Mr. Keynote speaker!

I agree that there is a big dilemma with these questions. I'm not sure right now how to turn that huge ship around. And it really is a big ship. If we are dealing with something that has become the norm, per se, of American culture, how do we help Christians realize that?
I suppose there needs to be an increase in raising awareness of what is happening. There needs to be a prophetic voice in the Christian communities (might as well be us) who will deliberately address the issue. It is a small start and long process...
Should be a good convo on Thurs.

Mark, I tend to agree with you more than disagree... and I'm appreciating the humorous spin.
