I don't think it was official but there have been considerable anecdotal stories about squidoo users having their URLs taken after writing a lens on a particular subject. I never did anything on that site so it never concerned me enough to investigate further but I suppose Twitter could pass it off. Would prefer the aftermarket - maybe they could take a cut of each sale.

I am not sure how they should do it, I just feel that it is a big market and Twitter needs to do something to make big money and I do not see advertising taking that up.

Right w/ you on those sentiments. Great example is when I talk w/ churches about using the web more productively to reach people. They reply, "but we don't get people in the doors from the web - why would be put effort there"? I say, "exactly."

My question is why anybody hasn't created one that integrates on the customer's server via php or asp with an include? If the customer stops paying for the service, then shut off delivery on the server side.

tried musicshake. Besides them not supporting firefox, the heinously hard-to-read layout, and them wanting to install an active X component on my computer, I never got through to the site itself.
