That's a great quote, though, I think it can be good news, on the whole, depending on the choices we make. No doubt, there's some sacrifice to be made - but the understanding is well worth it - to me. Course, I'm turning 32, not 42.

I have been searching your entire blog for an entry I THINK you had - D.H.Lawrence - hot stuff - I have remembered it for a long time, and was wanting to read it again. So, I have skimmed and read much of your site. It's so cool! I've had big laughs and lots of nodding. I absolutely love the paintings - the beheading - all 3 of those faces...whoa.
Starting to question my thought that you posted the DH - maybe it was Neil Pollack who posted it - but I'm having fun looking.

Jack London, Francis Hodgsen Burnett, and definitely yes to the Bridge to Terabithia and Where the Red Fern Grows. I've bought my kids the Chronicles of Narnia and Madeline L'Engle's series. Can't wait till they're old enough to sit through them!

abso-fuckin-lutely! If they play by the rules, with a decimated army, they will lose. They have to be creative to have a chance in Hell, because this is an attack, rather than a war. If a kid gets attacked by a much bigger kid, all deals are off. It's not just a cute saying: All IS fair in love and war.
