I have a somewhat different phone problem. If the phone has the keypad and a hangup button on the handset, and if I smile broadly or laugh during the call, my cheek will hit the button and disconnect the call. Same thing happens to my sisters. "It's those Taggart cheeks," they say. Sheesh.

Sam's is selling the AD660 for $130. The first AD660 was DOA out of the box; I tried several recent DVDs and it would play, then in a few minutes the screen went to snow or green, and the unit locked up. I had to power off to restart and got the same. Also during play it would change to a different language by itself. So, I returned the unit to Sams and they gave me another one. NO PROBLEM. The second player works without a hitch. I have not yet checked if it works on VCD or SVCD, but this is a MUST for me. I BOUGHT A 1 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY EXTENSION FROM SAMS FOR ONLY $5.00...WELL WORTH THE PEACE OF MIND.

I just have to say, this is how Batman should be shown in the movies. I still like the first one with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson for kicks, but the others sucked it up horribly. This movie gets the raw feeling across, I loved it.

What do you mean "incredulous"? Man U WILL win and Chelsea will sink at the end of the season, and everything will be OK in the world.

Actually, whatever happens at the end of the season, ManU has made an important turn-around from the bumbling and uncertain start of the season. Comparing both teams, even the most ardent ManU hater/Chelsea supporter must admit that ManU play, without a doubt, the most attractive soccer in England. Barcelona is the only other team in Europe that could be said to surpass them. Once again, Fergie has ignored the talking heads and insta-pundits to choose the best coarse for the team. Evre and Vidic were the right buys, and the attacking trio of Rooney, Ruud, and Saha have devestated defenses. Chelsea are, by comparison, an updated version of George Graham's "1-0 to the Arsenal" team of the late 80s and 90s.

I can't wait to see who comes to ManU next season. Chelsea beware!!!!

Barca play essentially a 4-3-3 with Ronaldinho dropping off the front to pick up and play passes forward. The outside backs also like to get up into attack, and the midfielders are asked to make frequent and effective runs into the box. In short, they are designed to attack. The reason AC had so much trouble was not the awesome defense of Barca but the fact that they could never get their attack started cuz they were defending too much. That, and the fact that any Italian team is designed to win games by 1-0, meant that AC was not going to score loads of goals and pin Barca back in their own half. Arsenal, at least, have the potential to attack more than AC was able to.

However, in looking back at their campaign, they appeared suprisingly Italian in their preference for 1-0 wins: in the group stage they had 1.66 goals/game; in the knockout rounds they beat Madrid 1-0/0-0, juve 2-0/0-0, and Villareal 1-0/0-0. This gives them a 1.58 goals/game overall. Barca on the other hand had a 1.83 goals/game overall.

What does all this mean? Well, I feel that Arsenal will have to tighten up the midfield to choke any space for Deco/Ronaldinho to work. They need to exploit the attacking tendencies of the outside backs and play a wide game (especially with Henry operating on his favored left), and keep the ball away from the human vaccum cleaner, Puyol. They can count on Barca trying to open things up, and therefore leaving space on the counterattack. I think it will be either 3-0 Barca or 1-0 Arsenal.

Gardner is a dope. Would he rather watch Serie A? Talk about boring. Maybe the Ligue 1? Give me a break. Gardner is just taking the role of the contrarian to make column-inches. What a fraud.

And since when is the number of goals scored the sole indicator of good soccer? I've seen some awesome 0-0 matches and some totally worthless 3-3 goal-fests. For my money (and I do pay for FSC, Gol TV, and Setanta) the Premier Lg. is the best with the most exciting matches and top teams. The only team that comes close to playing as scintilating at Man U right now is Barcelona.

Gardner can continue to watch the Bulgarian 2nd division for all I care. Give me the EPL.

I am sorely dissapointed that I will not be able to enjoy my team thrashing Chelsea in the FA Cup as Setanta has chosen not to show the game live except in pubs with a mandatory $20 cover!!! This is OUTRAGEOUS! I sincerely hope that every pub in the nation is deserted this Saturday just to show Setanta how stupid they are being!! I plan to avoid any news reports and watch the repeat broadcast at home for free.

I currently subscribe to Setanta, FSC, and GolTV, but the PPV prices are becoming exorbitant - $25 for the FA Cup is too much and a $20 cover is over the top. Hopefully the trend will be arrested - and quickly. I would implore anyone thinking of plonking down $25 for PPV or $20 cover to resist and send a message that soccer cannot become the next Ultimate Fighting Championship in the US. Aren't the broadcasters making enough already??

Karen Tandy is not worthy of office in a free country. An abuse of high office of this gravity combined with Tandy's blatant disregard for the American system of equal rights under law would ideally require that this administrator be put behind bars.

Whether it be forfeiture of office or a harsher (more apt) penalty, this odious tyrant Tandy should have to pay dearly, and at once.

You are not supposed to let the cork fly off a champagne bottle. The proper way is to hold it with a towel and twist the cork until it comes off with a soft pop, not even a pop really, just a slight release of air. You want to keep as much bubble in the champagne as possible.

I agree. What happened to people accepting responsibility for their own mistakes? The economy is tough on us too and IMO has shown us where we were not careful enough in our investments and spending/saving habits. No one forced me to sign on the dotted line.
This HR3221 encourages an entitlement mindset. The government will always take care of us and bail us out.

A couple of the good Sox blogs that I like are 'Over the Monster' (http://www.overthemonster.com/) and 'Firebrand if the AL' (http://mvn.com/mlb-redsox/). Both are great fan-based sites.

And as long as we are on new media here, I will also throw out a couple of good podcasts. 'Corn, Gordon & Flanagan'(http://corngordon.mypodcasts.net/) has some great discussion (though only every 2 weeks), and 'The Original Red Sox Podcast' (http://redsoxpodcast.com/), a father & son team that has some more regular contributions.

I would guess my site is one of those "niche" comic sites. I can tell you I've tried to expand into news, columns, message boards, etc. but I've found 1) people are generally happier with my site when I stick to the basics: new releases lists and information directly related to them, 2) any message board I've started is virtually never used, and 3) any column I've been the sole host for has either been discontinued by the writer, or, like Newsarama, has moved on to a more important comic book site.

I haven't seen X3, so I can't compare the two movies. But I really, really like Superman Returns. I believe achieved what Batman Begins did: it took a blemished, withering movie dynasty and gave it life. By no means is it a perfect movie, but it's not the dog many are trying to make it out to be. OK let me get you straight anonymous, doing everything that the 360 can do should cost $200 more. Almost everything you listed both consoles do, and so far the PS3 has yet to show one game with better graphics.

Blu-ray is a joke and 1080p is barely better then 780p. You need to come up with other arguments to justify your purchase buddy.

Excellent comment. I like visual bandwidth. I use Lucida 7pt font and have 10 to 15 panes, “splits”, open at a time in an Emacs window on my desktop for a project, usually with 2 full height panes (100+ lines and 78 columns). On my laptop, it’s 8-10 panes for a project, with the same full height at 1440×900 in Lucida 6pt. A major project will normally have 50+ files/buffers loaded (source files, test inputs & outputs, notes, etc.). I will frequently spawn a temporary 2-pane window to do a complex copy-and-fill from a virtual list (each element embedded in text fragment) in one pane into a different sequence of text fragments in the second pane using a temporary recorded keystroke macro. All this has seemed easy to do in Emacs for years.

Each to his/her own taste, though.

Regarding all the questions about MCQ changing in difficulty during the exam: the CPA exam uses "adaptive testing." If you totally rock the first testlet, the second testlet you receive will be more difficult. While it's totally subjective, you can kind of get an idea of how you are doing on the MCQ based on the difficulty between testlets. No change in difficulty doesn't mean you are doing poorly, it could simply mean you are comparable to other passing candidiates.

I use gmailFS/gmail drive. That puts files in the >2GB storage using a label. Then I can sign into the gDrive and have my files there or log in using the web and get to them.
