in Tottenham Hotspur Is Ready To Crack The Big Four on EPL Talk+fact no. 1+
forget the irrelevant knockout-style FA cups. Outside the top 4, everton (9 titles), villa (7), sunderland (6), newcastle (4), blackburn (3) have been english champions more times than spurs.
+fact no.2+
forget all competitions. spurs weren't the 2nd highest EPL scorers last season. they were behind villa - and even liverpool.
+fact no.3+
spurs are 7th, not 4th, in the all-time EPL table - behind the top 4 plus villa and newcastle.

in King’s Antics Block Congressional Testimony on WMD, Torture on The Iowa Independent
In that instance, he was scheduled to testify as a witness, and a legislator interrupted King's opening statement to ask King a series of questions that consumed the rest of King's scheduled minutes, which is said to have infuriated King.
He strikes me as a man who broods over old slights, and I'm sure the resemblance added to his enjoyment.

in Steve King: Hey, Wait, American Chicks Are Hot, Too on The Iowa Independent
"Goh announced that women would be given eight weeks of paid maternity leave after the birth of their third child (previously they were given paid leave only for their first and second children). He outlined a 'baby bonus' plan, whereby the government would pay families up to the equivalent of about $5,000 in U.S. currency over six years for a second child and up to twice that for a third. The money would be earmarked for the children's educational needs."
You'll notice that the only part of Singapore's plan that "kind of stood out in King's mind" was the incidental trivia of the newspaper in car windows, not the substantial government social spending that was the actual functional nuts and bolts of the program.

in I’ve Had Quite Enough Of Christopher Hitchens on Jack and Jill PoliticsBut Hitchens is a moron and a jerk, and I SO wish the press would start ignoring him. I suppose they find him entertaining; there's no shortage of morons and jerks on TV.
I've never known an atheist that wasn't a nice, reasonable (and generally liberal) person, and it pains me to see a guy like Hitchens purporting to represent atheism. Uh.

in Report: King Fails As Breadwinner For Western Iowa on The Iowa Independent
Understand, I am no fan of King's. I think he's a windbag and a jackass: dishonest on some points, hateful and bigoted on others, and merely foolish on most of the rest. And I accept as possible that the meagreness of the federal funding he's obtained for Iowa may have more to do with ineffectiveness at working with House colleagues than with adherence to any conservative principles. But I still think there's something wrong about this article, and that it doesn't reflect well on our side to employ this argument.

in Huckabee Cans Negative Romney Ad, but Gives Press a Peek Anyway on The Iowa Independent
6. Governor Mike Huckabee (R-AR): Governor Huckabee enjoyed a meteoric rise in the polls in December 2007, which prompted a more thorough review of his ethics record. According to The Associated Press: "[Huckabee's] career has also been colored by 14 ethics complaints and a volley of questions about his integrity, ranging from his management of campaign cash to his use of a nonprofit organization to subsidize his income to his destruction of state computer files on his way out of the governor's office." And what was Governor Huckabee's response to these ethics allegations? Rather than cooperating with investigators, Huckabee sued the state ethics commission twice and attempted to shut the ethics process down.
#1 on the list? Hillary Clinton. #10? Harry Reid.
The allegedly "dishonest" Mitt Romney was nowhere in sight.
