in New SEO Trends You Should Look Into on Killer Blog
Those are all definitely good link building tips that are very much with the times. The only other tip I'd add that works well for me sometimes is to try to trade links with sites that:
- Are relevant to the industry your site is in
&
- Don't link out to just anyone for a link back.
If you find pages like that, you'll notice their PR and other metrics are usually extremely high.

in Contextual Link Building on NextBee (Word of Mouth Marketing) Blog
There's no doubt that the continued use of SEO tactics has created a range of methods, some of which are better than others. The practice of contextual link building is among the best ways to be indexed for relevant niches, not to mention a good way to stay relatively low on the link spam radar.

in Advertising to Gen Y on Social Networks on The Social Media Marketing Blog
Great job interpreting this data, which I'm sure more than one marketer looks at in the wrong way - That is, if traditional ads aren't working, change the ads instead of the strategy employed. Social Media Marketing Campaigns aren't the same as any other type of marketing, because the focus is on responding to users, never on trying to sell them something. In a way, it's just a method for a business to be a responsible net citizen, entitled to use the same features and facilities as any personal user, but without trying to take over the conversation and start selling directly and en masse.

in Free Link Building Method Explained on SEO Blog
I imagine that the results from this, while still a questionable tactic, are far superior to other link building schemes like the ones that use automated article generators to produce content that is meaningless. In this case at least it's actually edited by a human, even if it's mostly copied from elsewhere.

in links for 2009-02-17 on Seth Goldstein Online
I just wanted to thank you for linking to the post I wrote about reciprocal link exchanges. When I wrote it I wasn't quite sure how well it would go over since so many people probably disagree, but so far it's looking pretty good! Thanks again!

in Why Outsourcing Marketing Database Building Makes Sense on ReadyContacts Role-based B2B Contacts
Definitely a great option for many organizations because building up a database can be very time consuming. I think that inside sales are almost always better kept in house, though, for the reasons mentioned above. It's hard enough to get an employee to represent a company appropriately, much less an outsourced contractor who doesn't work for the business directly.

And I thought the only reason people didn't shop at a specific store was because they had a higher price than somewhere else... Silly me. While I don't particularly enjoy being solicited to donate spare change (since I never carry any) it's also not the reason I'd go to, or stay away from any store. I usually just go to shop for what I need and make a beeline back home. I say donate if you want and ignore those bell ringers if you don't, plain and simple.
