Although I wouldn't personally get involved in a lego tournament, at least the participants are developing imagination and hand/eye coordination. I prefer to enhance those skills through the practicing of an instrument.
It's always interesting to guess what two different styles would sound like if merged. History is filled with composers that have combined previous styles in order to create their own sound. Thanks for the fun article and the link, which I have will recommend to some colleagues.
Interesting test. My concern is that the test doesn't account for variables like a child's maturity level, age, ability to concentrate at a given moment... In my opinion, the last thing a parent would want to do is label a kid's musicality based on this one test.
