in Getting co-workers and friends started on Twitter on Johnny's Blog
Hey!

I really enjoyed your post. It is pretty cool that Darren Rowse at http://problogger.net linked to you through Facebook (how I found you).

I am new to Twitter. I always thought it was stupid, but I have realized more and more how important it is to network with people if you want to build a blog. I have a blog at writetoright.com and feel free to visit it and tell me what you like or don't like. It sounds like you have some good experience. I would love input and if you ever want to do a link exchange let me know!

in How to Do The Impossible: Create a Paperless Life, Never Check Voicemail Again, Never Return Another Phone Call… on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
Tim thanks so much for your site. I currently work at a sales floor and have been attempting to work hard blogging at the same time, but the job has been in the way. I listened to your audiobook and I have been taking some serious looks at what I can take out. I realized what consumes my day the most and is the most ineffective work is my phone calls. I work for a $100 million company that has solid leads and I do well, but I have realized I can do more with these leads by doing less. Instead of calling several times a day, I will call once and leave a message. I will alter the times each day for the one call. Before I would call a lot and leave only one initial message and one final message at the end of the two week cycle. I think I can save more time and increase my sales. Any other suggestions you may have I would appreciate it. Thanks for helping to inspire me to change my life.

in Exclusive: No Nofollow | I Follow | DoFollow Bumpzee Community on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
I think that it is funny how concern people get about spam with this concept of do-follow. I think that there are always going to be issues with spam. It is more important to help the honest people than to hold them back by trying to stop the spammers. That is why you have askimet and other anti-spam plugins. I think that we should look at good opportunities to build on content and network. What have you noticed as far as your own benefits?

in Advertisers Start Your Widget Engines! on Marketing Pilgrim
Let's be honest...if it wasn't for sites like Myspace, Facebook, and YouTube for teens and young adults then this wouldn't have that type of growth. They spend countless devoted social hours towards their marketing. They are like lowly interns that work their butts off for them and they love every moment of it.

in More People Spread Link Love With DoFollow on Instigator Blog
I have to say that this is such a great plugin. I have to say that this gives so much power for bloggers to communicate so well. I think we can learn faster and create so much more thanks to the need to communicate more.

I think that this is an amazing concept. I have seen so many benefits. Since you have started Do-Follow what have you felt about it so far? Have you seen many beneifts? I know some people are concerned about how many links they give out, but I have seen that if you spent enough time out in the blog world communicating then it won't matter.

in Ultimate List of DoFollow & Nofollow Plugins – Banish Nofollow From Comments and Trackbacks on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
I believe that this idea of do-follows is amazing and is going to help impact so many young bloggers. I think it is going to improve the networking even more of what linking can do to help each other and also allow for each of us to communicate and build our knowledge. How has it helped you out so far?

I agree with you that it is a great benefit for your commentors to help them out. I believe that there are so many people out there that want help and are looking to give back. I think generosity on websites can really help out. Great choice.

That makes sense with converting the traffic from Digg. There seems to be many avenues out there that are just not tapped into. As far as the do-follow epidemic...how long do you think it will last and what do you think will happen to it?

Andy Beard THE SMO SMM guys really aren't tapping into the possibilities of converting traffic, because most are from an SEO background.
If you come from a marketing background, you are always looking to convert traffic better, because it costs you money, so hopefully we will see more content, and easy solutions, though I am not sure how easy it will be to integrate with wordpress sites running widgets.
As for dofollow, I will keep plugging away. Things took off that built a little awareness, but ultimately what is needed is information and community.
The memes added only a few 100 new supporters, when there were already 1000s, and didn't really help anyone because they only generated relevant links for terms no one is searching for.

I agree with you about being a link whore. It is one of the most addictive things for a blogger like a drug. I always have to get my fix.

I have to agree with Court on his idea about Christianity and Science. I have no problem with lifeforms on other planets and still being a God. This looks like a great study and I would love to see more about this planet. Any other thoughts you have?

in Technorati Favorites – Is This Evil, Lazy or Just Smart? on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
I think that you have a great idea that will help connect a lot of people to other ideas. I think it is also important to get a lot more people on your favorites that just don't focus on one topic such as making money online or internet marketing. I think if you can get an assortment of ideas then you will attract more people into your thoughts and help the growth and well-roundedness of your own site. That is what I have seen of what little knowledge I have. What do you think Andy?
