Yeah I think the move to microUSB is a good one, a fair wack of phones are coming with it now, would be great for all of them to use it.

I tested a Storm for a few weeks and found the text entry to be absolutely woeful. Pressing the screen in after tapping the button felt really awkward, and made it difficult to type quickly. IMO the iPhone keyboard is vastly superior to the Storms, not just because of the feel but the fantastic auto-correction, which was just abysmal on the Storm.

Funny how it's completely different with the Bold, now that is a seriously good device. Obviously it's a totally different design, but it shows how good RIM are in their native territory.

@Kyle: The Touch HD I have will, supports both 850 and 2100Mhz UMTS bands ;)

@Raymond: I seriously considered it, but I just couldn't justify the cost of moving to BlackBerry, and when testing phones I would have to use a different SIM and have a separate data plan, so it was all too expensive to make the move.

I will be addressing the text input, as it is a big factor for me when choosing a device. That is why I liked the Bold and the E71 so much, they have outstanding keyboards.

I'm finding the latest WM devices to be quite stable, though not as stable as my Nokia's or the Bold it has to be said.

I'm a Mac user myself and have been using an Exchange account for keeping my devices in sync, works brilliantly for me.

Sue, regarding the need to pull out the stylus, I think Samsung has discovered the best way to stop you reaching for it with the Omnia: don't include a silo to hold one! Surprisingly, it really does work, and breaks that dependence on the stylus. Using an Omnia for two weeks, I never felt I NEEDED the stylus, and without one there to hold my hand, using a fingertip became natural and easy.

TouchFlo looks fantastic, but I'm not a fan simply because it isn't powerful enough, nor customisable (well, easily anyway). Personally, I think SPB Mobile Shell is an excellent alternative that you can use on all Windows Mobile 5/6 devices, looks great, performs well and has more customisation options.

I never liked the look of the i620, it just seemed so fat and awkward compared to the sleek i600/i607, and I still stand by that :P
